    The music makes me feel quite sad. I was in my 30s when it was on. I am nearly 60 now and struggling to think where that time went. Sam Beckinsdale lived near me in Queens Park and I used to see her in a local Indian restaurant on Kilburn lane. Great days.

      I don't know why I didn't see this comment sooner Paul but I feel you entirely. I'm 22 but I started watching LB when I was about 6 years old through TH-cam clips of the show and was instantly hooked. Now as a child it was the lights, the sirens, and the action that was the main draw but the older I got, the more I appreciated the story and characters just as equally. So the soundtrack for me comes off as bittersweet and serves as a reminder of my childhood and the advent of falling in love with a new show. Plus as an American, nobody here had really even heard of the show before so it almost felt exciting to know about such an awesome show that nobody around me was privy to!

    I actually like this series more than what we have in the US. Probably because (from what I've seen)this doesn't have nearly the number of kissy/sex scenes that our shows like Chicago Fire do. (even though evidently the later series did have more soap like scenes)

      I’m a fan from the US too, London’s Burning was from 1986 (the pilot film) to 1987-2002 (the series) so it was a little different then what we see today in firefighting entertainment, I think Chicago Fire and London’s Burning are sort of the same except they are based in different timelines and areas, plus there is more female FD characters then just the one for a couple of seasons

    Shame Nick's character didn't stay on for longer or at least get a proper send off. Watching every episode from the film up to the last, how it fell around series 10, perked up around mid series 11-12 then fell in series 13 again :(

    It's strange that at this time Recall was allowed to have full facial hair when, in a later series, he was told that it was against Fire Brigade Regulations because it inhibited his wearing of his BA and had to be removed.

    • @jackbruening6560
      @jackbruening6560  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well that's what progressiveness is. The studies that went into fire safety as the years went on showed more vulnerabilities with pre-existing standards that needed to be changed, and yes that did include beards and certain moustaches that could allow toxins to enter through the mask.
