This was the song my wife and i had our first dance to...it was the happiest day of my life. Sadly she passed in 2018....so thank you for your joyful, heartfelt reaction
Totally agree. It is a great song. However a lot of people dont realise that "Run To You" by Bryan Adam's and "I Dont Wanna Lose Your Love Tonight" by the Outfield are songs about cheating on partners!.
So many great songs tbh! Waking up the neighbors was my first album I got with him and I will forever remember the lyrics: "Put on your best dress darling Can't you see the time is right There will never be another tonight" I still max the audio when that song is played, no matter where it is played! In the grocery store? I find the volume knob for sure!
I was playing in a bar in the Bronx , New York in early 90's. On a break a guy walks up to me and introduced himself ,Rob Sabino. I didn't know who he was but he wanted to buy me a beer and told me he was a musician in LA home visiting his Mother. Really nice guy , we had a great chat. He even showed me something on piano that I had played earlier the correct way to play , he wasn't being a tool either. When he left the bartender told me he was Bryan Adams keyboard player. he played Heaven on the Reckless album. I got goose bumps. As you were.
Great song! Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer songwriter from the 80's-90's. He is known for his ballads & he has a unique raspy voice. Bryan has had so many hits such as "Summer Of '69", "Cuts Like A Knife", "Straight From The Heart", "Everything I Do", "Run To You", "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?", "Can't Stop This Thing We Started", "Thought I'd Died & Gone To Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "All For Love" etc. He has won a lot of awards for his music.
Brian Adams, probably the biggest CDN Artist, Singer, Writer, Producer… Run to You, Cuts Like a Knife, It’s only Love, Summer of 69, When You’re Gone and on and on and on…. So many fantastic Hits!!
What most people don't know, is that B. Adams toured with Journey in the early 80's, and Heaven was written and inspired by Journey's hit "Faithfully". Adams wrote Heaven as kind of a sequel song to Faithfully. So, don't forget to listen to Faithfully when you listen to Heaven.
The song brings me to tears because my wife of over 37 yrs passed almost a year ago, and She was my Heaven and now only left with Hell on earth...Very Emotional song for that reason...RIP Lorie Lynn...
There are a lot of goosebumps if you can actually sing along 😭❤️ This is my favourite Bryan Adams song. Especially this acoustic version. I only listen to this version and feel like we're in heaven
It never ceases to amaze me how music can make us feel or move us. Nothing to be embarrassed about there as far as you getting emotional, thats a really good song.
The live concert with the same green shirt where the audience starts singing it, is just beyond moving. You should check out that version! Much love Aileen
1985.... What a wonderful year, the year the 80's started to peak... The sheer amount of amazing music that came out from 85 to 87 alone is mind blowing. Only those of us that where young teens back then can truly understand it... This song, Summer of 69, Run To You, Somebody, It's Only Love, and One Night Love Affair, all songs/singles from the Reckless album, and massive hits in 85, and then Christmas Time later that year... Man..., so many memories...
I saw Bryan Adams live a couple times now, and him and his band put on an amazing show. Seen him at Niagara Falls New Years of 2019/2020 and that was awesome. He played for three hours straight out in the snow and cold. I can't put it into words how magical that night was. Thanks Bryan and band.
I'm 56 yrs old and have loved BA for a long, long time. One of my bucket list things was to see him live and I finally got to see him recently! What a special talent this guy is, he was pitch perfect throughout the concert and boy I wasn't disappointed!! If you haven't watched the full MTV Unplugged session then please do, you will thank me for it!
I saw this man twice in concert and met him personally, greatest guy you ever want to meet!! This song in question is an absolute classic of his, he's incredible in concert!! As an ex drummer myself, this is the man I would have loved to play music with!!! Rock on Bryan!!!🤘
Between this song, “Everything I do (I do it for you)” and “Run to You”, this man absolutely owned the 90s ballad. “Everything I Do” was on the radio and number one in the charts for ages.
The most underrated Bryan Adams song is I'm Ready. It's criminally underrated. All the reaction-type youtube channels completely ignore this song for some reason I can't even begin to understand.
I have seen him 3 times in concert. No mean fete when you live in Australia. He sounds just like in this performance. Remarkable voice! And he writes the most beautiful love songs, amongst many other wonderful gems!
This whole DVD is fantastic... really great arrangements & orchestrations, some by Michael Kamen and performed with students from the Juilliard School, a really great Unplugged. Saw BA last summer and he still sounds fantastic and always includes an acoustic set as part of his live shows. Just him sitting on a stool and his guitar, belting it out.
Bryan Adams made me go out and buy my first real six string. I bought it at the five and dime. I played it until my fingers bled. It was the summer of '99. Then, me and some guys from School, we had a band and we tried real hard.
Yip, he did it before the 2000-ish mix 😁 Glad I was born in a time where artists like Bryan Adams and Roxette were at their peak. Beautiful ballad rock we will never have again. I love every word of what you've said at the end. People never take time to actually LISTEN to music anymore; and I wish there were more people out there in the world today that could feel music the way you do.
I heard the cover by a young woman on the radio, probably the same one you're talking about, and when she sang "...my younger years..." I was like, you don't HAVE any younger years 😂
The one thing I can say Bryan had such an “ ear “ for a beautiful script for lyrics .. his song writing ability was spot on to his genre of the right moment. And it wasn’t for a 1 year stand either … it practically stuck in his whole career. ✌️folks
Great reaction! Bryan is one of many Canadian musicians that have quietly been injected into our musical conscousness. Listen to more Bryan, Gordon Lightfoot, Triumph, Shania Twain, April Wine, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Celine Dion and many more.
The song that I listened to as a single dad was, Cat In A Cradle by Harry Chapin. It reminded me what not to do raising my son by myself from age 16 months old to adulthood.
No auto tune, no fancy stage show, just a down to earth Canadian guy, his guitar, and a metric ass ton of talent. If you liked this one, check out his live performance at Wembley in 1996 of Everything I Do, I Do It for You’, arguably the greatest ballad ever written and one of the biggest singles in history.
“Everything I Do” and “Run to You”. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Everyone can imagine what it would be like or they’ve experienced, to have someone feel that away about you. That makes you emotional. 💓
This was my parents wedding song. After my dad was diagnosed with cancer, he would cry uncontrollably when this song would come on. He would say, “I’m not sad for me. I’m sad for your mom and you boys (me and my brother).” He passed away 5 years ago and this song has had such a different meaning since.
I grew up listening to Bryan Adams & heard this song a thousand times. But for the first time, I couldn't fight the tears this time...wow...I felt what you felt...
Your reaction is completely appropriate, this song evokes love, Bryan Adams has unique voice, he reaches your heart. Whether it’s a ballad or something more upbeat, he delivers everytime
80s and 90s, i am a very lucky person to grow up during this time, in terms of music no other ERA has beens greater. Bryan Adams was one of the live concerts i have seen and loved it. No other music could ever been matched to this era. GOOD MUSIC, i will be forever been grateful.
I like emotions a lot. It is what makes us human and it's raw and true and real, good or bad. It makes me feel alive, good or bad. And I like to see humans having an emotional reaction. Thank you for this. This is why I like you. You are real, good or bad.
If you want the ultimate collaboration, you have to listen to “one for all, all for love”. Bryan Adams, Sting, and Rob Stewart. They all killed it in that song and they harmonize SO well together.
Hi Aileen 😊 Such a wonderfully heartfelt reaction and analysis 😊👍 As you were hearing the strummings of the acoustic guitar before Brian started to singing you had that look of anticipation and knowing and then it was confirmed that you had heard this song before and that was a magical moment to see. When you reacted to the 4 Non-Blondes What's Up, you recognized that song as well as you told us after the first break. In both these cases you were very pleased to be able to hear the original as compared to the covers. That is when it is very exciting when you discover our music. And even more so we are pleased that you want to. When a song is so beautiful it is hard not to get emotional. And yet, to hear the original you get all of the emotion of the original artist and why he or she wrote this song. We are human and we have emotions and beautiful instances invoke those emotions which are very appropriate. I didn't remember Heaven from the 1980s but I sure do remember Cuts Like a Knife and Summer of 69 as they played on the radio constantly. I have read all the comments and the heartfelt messages to you as you are truly loved. All the recommendations are fantastic and I look forward to hearing and seeing your reactions to them. Have a great day you and Arya with much love 😊👍💪❤️
Bryan has a way of singing to your heart and soul & making you feel he’s singing only to you! Not many musicians can do that.♥️Amazing♥️ great reaction as always, Eileen. From Wales 🏴 to you, I send much love 😊 xx
Oh yes! Bryan Adams! I had the pleasure to attend his concert here in Mexico City in 1993 (?) I guess. He just lauched "Waking up the neighbours" album by that time. almost 2 hours of pure joy, love, rock music , and a man who puts everything on the stage along with his band: Mike Curry and Keith Scott. Cannot recall if Dave Taylor was on that gig. A moment I won´t forget in the concert: There was a moment where the band played Aint gonna cry for you, and they appeared in the middle of the Auditorio Nacional attendance, inviting the people to dance in the improvised set. That was incredible!! This man is a treasure!
Love the reaction to this beautiful song. Bryan Adams is an incredible talent who has been throwing out great music since the early 80’s…oh that voice…Heaven was my prom and wedding song. It has always been my favorite song but this version brings tears to my eyes too. Ir shows Bryan’s unbelievable talent. Not many artists could sing such an intimate version acoustically and sound that heavenly. Thanks again for the cover and enjoy your Bryan Adams journey - so many hits.
To all the youngsters out there stop living so fast as we did in the 80s enjoy your youth as I sit here Im 54 missing every second that I cannot get back enjoy take your time LIVE LAUGH AND MOST OF ALL LOVE take the chance make good choices. Good luck you are my future please take care of it, enjoy your friends dont sweat the small shit
Wow I can so relate to your reaction! When this song first came out in the 80s I would avoid listening to it because I found it so beautiful and almost too intense. My friends totally made fun of me because one time I left the room when it came on. And I SO agree about the ridiculous dance version of this song - I avoided listening to it for the opposite reason. It's probably especially disloyal because I'm Canadian and grew up in his hometown lol. But years later here I am finally able to listen to this masterpiece all the way through and feeling validated that someone else has a similar reaction. One of the best and most sincere love songs ever. 🤍
This song is one that takes me back to a very special place. I was 15 and it was "our song". 40 years on, it's still a smile and a tear of what-might-have-been
I love seeing these songs stripped down to their core. The artist, their voice and their instrument. Bryan owned the 90’s. His songs are the soundtrack to a lot of our lives
I'm a 56-years old male who's always ready to get emotional at each and every moment of happiness, however small it is. And start crying of course :) Listening to this song always brings that feeling of happiness and all the emotions with it. There's not a time that I didn't shed a tear when listening to Heaven, like you did at the end. Thanks for sharing those moments with us & cheers 💕
I don't think I understood in the 80s and 90s how good we had it. God I miss the 80s, for so many reasons
couldn't agree more.
Me Included!
I was this lucky. We turned on the radio and could listen to several hours of one hit song after another.
he was great in the 90's i heard he was good in 2022 my gf seen him said he was still amazing
You are not alone.
Bryan Adams owned the 90's Love Ballad industry.
I thought it was the summer of 69
80s too, lol

He is still out there touring and continues to crush it to this day. This man has SO many amazing songs.

Yeah it’s crazy how some of these musicians have never heard of all these great songs. I think they pretend just for the videos 🤷🏻♂️
I've said before that Bryan's album Reckless, that this is on, is one of the most solid albums ever put together, by anyone. My opinion
Reckless can stand on its own in ANY decade
Bryan has said that he worked harder on that album than any other in his career.
@@chrisoakley5830 Did he? That's pretty cool. His sound at the time was so on point

I don't know why people are saying this is a 90's song Bryan Adams released Heaven in 85! Bryan was big in the 80's.
He was big in both decades.
This performance is from the 1990s that's why.
Was going to say the same
He came back on scene when the movie Robin Hood came out in '87. He did a song on the movies soundtrack "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)

This song is one that takes me back to a very special place. I was 15 and it was "our song". 40 years on, it's still a smile and a tear of what-might-have-been
Saw him in concert years ago. Absolutely incredible
My favorite from him is "Do I Have To Say The Words" .. beautiful video too ☮️
King of Canada. the man is such a respected artist.
A good faster pace song by Bryan was "Run to You" you'd like it for sure.
Life and love was so good in the 80's🤗
I remember borrowing the cassette of this from the local library and listening to this. Hearing this brings me back to that time
He’s Canadian.
Under all of our politeness is the passion and love that comes from being the happiest people in the world.
Your Australian!
@@matth4638 That’s news to me.
I love seeing these songs stripped down to their core. The artist, their voice and their instrument. Bryan owned the 90’s. His songs are the soundtrack to a lot of our lives
This has been my favourite song since day one.
You would LOVE "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?" by this guy
I'm a 56-years old male who's always ready to get emotional at each and every moment of happiness, however small it is. And start crying of course :) Listening to this song always brings that feeling of happiness and all the emotions with it. There's not a time that I didn't shed a tear when listening to Heaven, like you did at the end. Thanks for sharing those moments with us & cheers 💕
