Thank you Mr. James for uploading this wonderful video.. I was in UK for a couple of months and this route was one of the common ones I've travelled.. Now that Iam back to my country I miss St. Albans and Hemel Hemsptead a lot, n whenever I do, I come to this video and relive the moments.. Thanks a ton again!
Thanks for an excellent video. (Happy memories of a bus ride from Newark to Lincoln many years ago.) It makes a pleasant change from train cab rides. After watching this one I have added the others to my own play list. Much appreciated.
delightful video of the old 330 Route from my home town of St Albans! I would not mind a £1 for every time I have travelled this road! .... I think, MultiRoutemaster, you must be Richard Berry.... ;)
Thanks for coment. It was taken on 19th August 2012 as part of the Hemel Hempstead running Day. Unfortunatly I didnt take a note of the RM number. However I have a few photos. I will look through them and see if I can find it. Judging by some of your replies I reckon you were or are a St Abans person. it was a sad day when they demolished the bus station especially as it would have become a working museum, just what we bus lovers like.
Yes I know. I have done this route a couple of times and they never go into St Michaels village. in fact I am sure they don't follow the route as it really was. I thought that the original route went through Hatfield town and to Hatfied station, then through a couple of estates in Hemal before reaching the Bus Station, but I can't remember the original route.. Next year I will ask the organisers why and see if they can change it.. Not sure where Lime Walk is though.
@@MrBrianjames100 From1947 to 1949 I travelled on the 330 which went from Welwyn Garden City via Valley Road and the A1 past de Havillands turning right at The Comet hotel to St Albans. First there were STs and then RTs or RTLs I can't remember which. I was only 9 travelling to a private school in Harpenden, 303 from St Albans. Jim Maxwell
Nice to see an RM driven properly - correct use of gears and smooth braking. Thanks for uploading.
