Awesome video man... when you dive in the weeds with stats I really pay attention. I'd really like to see advanced set theory's and synergies tbh. Keep doing videos like this man, this is gold.
Just wanted to say thanks for making your videos. Just started dabbling with PVP in Cyrodil last night for the first time and I got to say, lag aside, it's the most fun I've had playing the game so far. And that was just using my PVE stealth build. I can't wait til I can put together a legit PVP build.
TY FOR SHARING!!! I am brand new to the game and I am getting my ass handed to me because of the lack of knowledge and what to do. KenIam is using your advice, to get better and have some fun.
Great information, in conjunction with an inquiry from Scott Mcormick I would’ve added one quick explanation about how the DW skill applies weapon/spell damage to the character stat sheet. I’ve encountered many players who think that main hand and off hand both apply 100% of the weapon tooltip to your stat sheet, likely creating the “nirnhoned off-hand” confusion. To clarify for the unsure, offhand only applies a percentage of weapon tooltip to your stat sheet and the DW passive just slightly increases that percentage.
This was so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for the explainer. Trying to build a little using your MagDen build as a base and kind of making it my own. This helps!
Mathing out on the character builder and just trying to figure out if there really is another dual wield winning formula since crit chance is so much harder to attain now. Did you consider nirn main dagger and either precise/sharp offhand dagger and replace possible thief with lover stone adds overall more stats (playing to the strength of the dagger running it in precise offhand resulted in slightly less pen but more potential healing?). Odd stance for me to take I've always said unless you negate an enemy's armor completely you can never have enough pen, but since it is a balancing act and its easier to have someone apply major breach then it is to gain another 11% crit chance (especially now that procs can crit) perhaps this could be another variable formula? Also sidenote I've been gone a year and just realized daggers have been alterred to add general crit chance no longer physical specific so in theory this benefits hybrid builds more. Love this content, this game is truly a beautiful layout for all sorts of fun builds and combinations now that the sets finally work again, it makes math fun :) Cheers!
You sure? Cause it feel crit chance are alot higher then before update. I didnt aim for crit chance at all. I just have a skill that give me the big crit buff. And im sitting at 33% or something. Maybe get a crit chance set? You should get some nice % out of those. And there is a set that does give flat ammount on 5th piece instead of the crit buff. But I forgot the name.
I play a templar, Sword & shield on front bar and back bar, going for a paladin play style. My toon is currently at lvl 40, should I switch my back bar to Dual wield? Or 2H? I'm trying to make a build that works both in PvP & PvE 😎 but in PvE I want to run the tank roll, so far it's good but I know at end game content everything changes lol love your vids they give more than enough knowledge and you always let us have room to switch up or try something new but either way following your builds helps out a lot!
I would run a few flex spots so you can have a taunt in pve, I don't know much about pvp yet because I'm just starting to get into it however, having skills that you can swap out and replace with others depending on the situation can be very valuable, in pve just make sure you definitely have a taunt
How do you get such high resistances, like in the end you said your stamblade has 18k? I don't get enough dmg if I up my resistances so much with different sets
How is calurions/Stygian on magblade? I’m using Stygian/acuity right now and it slaps, but trying to find a set to replace acuity once the next update drops.
Ye pen is realy good but there is a big but... Don't go lower then a certain ammount of weapon/spell damage. I would say 4k unbuffed minimum. Especially when you use major sorcery/brutality. I tried with 3k spell dmg and major sorcery barely added extra spell damage. I had 16k pen tho and im not sure whats the sweet spot. But I doubt the high spell pen was better in that way. Most of the time I try to aim for like 10k pen. Which seems to work when have like 4k weap or spell dmg unbuffed. And it keeps some room for other stats next to that.
What do you think of this stamsorc build I’m gonna run next patch? Front bar chaotic whirlwind maces Back bar vateshran greatsword 2 piece heavy trainee 2 piece engine guardian 5 piece briarheart or clever alchemist Wild hunt
@@TheRealGodzilla true I’m a magplar with pariah and heartlands but i feel like changing to war maiden and heartlands for now then next patch heartlands and vicious death
1 sword and 1 mace on my most recent nb. But 2 maces are just fine 1 sword and 1 mace is just fine. I just didn't want to craft or make another mace lol
Infused is good say you have a class that doesn't have access to minor vulnerability you can put Infuse on your back bar and shock glyph on your front bar. giving you extra damage plus a debuff beyond that its powered sharpened and 7 well fitted so i can " auto bots roll out" the fuck away from dark convergence and still have enough stamina to fight
I would say that shadow can be very powerfull if you play around with the cloak. Even with only 36% crit chance on my khajiit i feel like i get a lot of value out of the shadow. I'm ofc not a insane pvp at all, but yeah.
Hello) can you suggest the norms of the current pvp assembly (pro sets are included) on the stam nb of the bow, I'm interested in the current assembly mainly with poison dot damage (there are sets of Kara, Assassin (+4 seconds made poison hangs), Plague, Swamp, Pure poison, Morag Tong , Deadly, Defiler, Nirn, ViceCanon, Incinerate..well and basic New Moon, Sprigan, Arrow ..). Thanks in advance for your advice!) 😃
This is exactly what I was looking for when I asked you to do a deep dive on stats for builds. Thank you very much.
One of my guildies pointed me to this video and they were right to do so!

Great video so far currently at 10 min and my fave part is explaining why specific slots for armor types is better. Ty

Returning player, great video, for review and getting up to speed with the current game - thx!
Best pvp guide available, thank you a lot!
Good one as always👍
I truly love games where math and deep thoughts make the best builds ! Ffxi is one of the best games I ever played with that in mind .
I'm making a hybrid dual sorc, I'm gonna have destro on back for the aoes. I'll probably use drain.
Great video as always one quick question impenetrable is the best choice for healers too?
Can go a mix of sturdy if ur blocking and impen, just make sure chest is heavy and reinforced
@@TheRealGodzilla cheers mate I appreciate it.

@@Syphirioth yeah you used to be able to get like 60-95% crit chance so you could stack crit dmg instead, now it's hard to get even a little over 50%
Hey Godzilla, nice vid! I want to try vamp for pvp so what is your opinion on a good mag class that benefits from vamp?
Any real mainly for the tankiness, but Imo magden and magic dk benefit the most

When using dual wield, why do people put the nirnhoned trait weapon on the primary vs the off hand?
Full weapon damage on mainhand, reduced weapon damage on off hand
How is calurions/Stygian on magblade? I’m using Stygian/acuity right now and it slaps, but trying to find a set to replace acuity once the next update drops.
got medusa its the next best set for a crit build to replace acuity?

How u get tri stats?
My main is dark elf magblade, and thinking about doing hybrid…but not sure how that work? Or builds?
Hakeijo essence from imperial city for 5k tel var or buying them from guild trader
@@TheRealGodzilla k thank you

Front bar chaotic whirlwind maces
Back bar vateshran greatsword
2 piece heavy trainee
2 piece engine guardian
5 piece briarheart or clever alchemist
Wild hunt
Sounds solid for sure
Mint
Does a Sharpened (increased penetration) 2H sword provide as many stats as a 2H Nirnhoned (extra damage) Maul?
They are very close I think
@@TheRealGodzilla happy to see being cheap paid off. Thanks man.
What Armor weight set up is best for something like a mag character
In some variation of 3 heavy 4 light in my opinion
@@TheRealGodzilla I’ve been using 5 light 1 medium 1 heavy
It all depends on your build magic classes are much more complicated than stamina
@@TheRealGodzilla true I’m a magplar with pariah and heartlands but i feel like changing to war maiden and heartlands for now then next patch heartlands and vicious death
4 heavy 3 light or 3 heavy 4 light.
or jusy go the old 2 heavy 5 light. almost no difference imo but maybe its how i play i wouldnt notice
Soooo max stam on stamina builds aren’t good ? What’s the highest I should go ?
Yes it is, but make to go tri stat on big pcs
I don’t know if this will help but I’m here lol I quit playing for a little while when DC came out
Is it just as good just to do purple glyphs instead of gold
Gold preference
Shouldn’t your Nirnhoned mace go in the off hand to benefit more from the DW passive?
No, it gives diminishing returns on off hand. Put nirn on off hand and nirn main hand, you'll have more damage with nirn on main
I’ve been running your NB build. Should I run double maces or one sword one mace?
He runs 2 maces.
@@IronWill161 okay, I was confused cause In his build video he has one of each but in this video he has two maces
