- The Xiaomi Mi Smart Compact Projector can put out a huge 1080p image -- and with Android TV, it has a built-in gateway to all of the content that you love. I have been using it for a few days, including a watch party with my long distance partner, @Isa does tech, who used the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick so that we could watch our favorite show together :)

This projector is around the same price bracket as XGIMI Z6, but I guess it doesn't have the off axis technology so it's not that good when mounted on ceiling or wall upside down. That style of mounting can help from viewer blocking the projector because the projector is much higher and so is the projection source.

This projector tends to make your image blurry after awhile. Its annoying that you need to keep adjusting.

Just disable auto-correction and turn it on 10-15 minutes before you start watching

And boom there it is, where Apple got their "inspiration" for their new headphones, the Montblancs have a similar look, similar price and have removable ear cups that are also similarly priced, can't believe you TH-cam guys missed that. 🤔
Super cool and helpful review 😊 I have a question regarding how to mount it on a light stand, does the projector have a hole at the bottom to the 1/4 20" screw? I just got the new version and apparently there is no way to screw it anymore
I need help , which one should I buy to watch movies and videos at home? What is the advantage and disadvantage of version 1 compared to 2, which one has more vivid and beautiful colors?
I think smart compact is better than gen 2 mi projector. More vivid and clean image.

I have the Mi Projector 2 Pro. The projector's background is noticeable around the displayed image. It appears the contrast is too high, can't be changed. I've tried all settings but still see a noticeable non-black area when watching anything. The gets pretty warm after a few minutes as well. Is this normal for a DLP projector?
What if you place the projector at different angle like from side, does it still have sharp picture ?

Is it worth it to buy this or t2 max? There is a huge price difference..
Youth 2 has now vertical AND horizontal correction. No more problem for being in front the of the beam. You can put the projector in lateral position it will correct the image with no problem!

Yes it can connect to any speaker. I think the Xgimi Mogo Pro+ could be your other option, but is more expensive.
Is "Xiaomi Mijia Youth Edition 2" and this model, both are same?

Sorry, but to position the projector like that and thereby use the keystone correction so extremely is completely nonsensical.
Firstly, the image quality deteriorates enormously and the residual light from the projector is around the whole picture and that looks terrible.
Why deliberately deteriorate the performance of a projector in such a way.

Don't know what you mean, but the ideal position for a projection is dead-center horizontally as well as vertically.
And as far as i can see, his setup isn't that far off the middle. The image processing for keystone correction is handled by the chip, so the loss in quality shouldn't be too great.
