Courtney as doppelgänger choosing to look at and copy Shayne’s Seer role, then Shayne as Seer choosing to look at Courtney’s role was just too perfect.

Waited for everyone to reveal their roles, then claimed to be the Robber that "swapped" with Amanda who's supposedly the Minion, ultimately pinning it on Shayne, the actual Minion, who, if killed, would mean all three of them win!! Amanda just had to keep playing on the others' claims to keep the heat off of Chanse and herself, and Shayne doing an uno reverse and putting suspicion on Arasha and Courtney + claiming Tanner basically sealed the votes toward him. Just perfection. *chef's kiss*
Honestly I think Chanse kind of fumbled the claim though, since what he was saying had larger implications and he was getting the Robber's role slightly wrong(as he was trying to say they didn't switch roles and he only became a minion, which means he thought the robber had the Doppleganger's power). If Amanda was the minion and he was now the minion, people should have been asking questions. Telling people he was now a minion isn't something a town role should claim, and it means Amanda knows who the werewolves are if he was telling the truth. @@genghisg I think because Chanse didn't hesitate and went for the conclusion that "Well I'm the Robber, I stole Amanda's 'Minion' role, so if we believe everyone, then the werewolf must be you (Shayne), bitch" that everyone jumped on it because everyone basically cemented their roles already at that point. Even if Chanse may have mixed up the Robber/Doppelganger roles, Amanda corroborated his claim almost immediately (or at least confirmed when everyone asked her if she was originally the Minion). I agree he probably shouldn't have claimed Minion in the interest of the town/village, but considering the group had gotten invested in how Shayne was basically cornered into admitting he was a werewolf, coupled by Shayne claiming Tanner, I'd say it was a slam dunk at that point. (And considering this is, I believe, their first time playing this version with the new roles, I'd say it was def still a masterful play from Chanse. Next time though it might not fly anymore, who knows haha)
@genghisg It was a masterful play!! I absolutely love the different playing strategies being represented by each person. Courtney just straight up tells the truth while Chanse tries to act nonchalant about it. ALSO Courntey and Shayne have some crazy intuition with how they accuse people
Tommy revealing he is the seer and revealed the two cards in the middle as the first play also helped the werewolves win the game, if he revealed it after the others may help him who's lying
I’m not expecting them all to understand that werewolves have to lie in order to win, which involves pretending to be a role that someone else might have. The fact that the seer buried in all of the early games, and was used on Courtney and not the middle during the previous game, didn’t give Tommy the experience to know to hold his cards until the end to catch one of those lies. Personally, I think he was just excited to not be a villager or tanner and had a useful role for once and just blurted it out.
yeah giving up information before people's eyes are even open was wild. You have solid info you hold that shit and let someone walk themselves into a trap.
i think it was still smart though, it makes him more believable because noone would be bold enough to guess TWO cards that arent in play, it's too risky. and it would also make it harder for werewolfs to claim an empty role but shayne just waited until everyone spoke and claimed the perfect role😭
This was a good video, but I honestly like it better when Spencer is being the storyteller/narrator. He always spices up the story and makes it more funny and engaging.
One Night Ultimate Werewolf is my favorite game of all time so I'm thrilled to see you guys playing it. Please continue to play this version in the future. I suggest leaving out the villagers whenever possible to make the games more interesting, as you picked up on halfway through the video. If you ever need to make the game easier for beginners, I'd put in the 2 Masons in place of the Doppelganger and Tanner instead of Villagers. I've also found that games of around 8 people with a 10-minute timer are the sweet spot for this game. It increases the fun and would also allow more roles. Witch and Drunk are also some of my favorite roles for larger groups. As Shayne pointed out in one of the rounds, the odds were pretty stacked against them in the round where 3 out of 6 players were on the werewolf team. I've always played it such that if a Minion sees 2 werewolves in a game of 6 people, they would call it out and reset the round so we could keep it more balanced. As someone who's played this game many times, there were a lot of major red flags the village team failed to pick up on in the final round. For one, Chanse incriminated himself without hesitation by admitting to "robbing the Minion" and immediately threw his fellow "werewolf" Shayne under the bus. If Chanse really had robbed the Minion, there would be no way for the other players to know that he had done so and he had no incentive to incriminate himself and give away his shot at winning from the jump. He would have just kept the information to himself. The fact that a player such as Chanse, who clearly knew the game pretty well, would be so willing to "throw in the towel" was a big sign of his lies. Most critically though, the villagers overlooked the fact that Amanda, who supposedly should have gone from Minion to Robber, did not out the Werewolves! If Amanda really did start as Minion, she would know exactly who the Werewolves are as the Minion sees them stick their thumbs up during the night. If the villagers were to believe Chanse's story that he robbed her card, then Amanda would now be on the villager team and would have the full incentive to help the villagers by exposing the Werewolf. Amanda not doing so was a clear tell that she did not start as the Minion. If Amanda was a Villager to start, she would have exposed Chanse for lying about what he robbed from her, so she could not have been the Villager. This means that Amanda had to be a Werewolf. Knowing that Amanda is a Werewolf, they should've deduced Chanse was lying about being the Robber and thus also had to be a Werewolf. The only story that made sense was that Chanse and Amanda were Werewolves together and that is why Amanda went along with Chanse's robber story that was so clearly a lie. Amanda picked up on Chanse's tactic and that's why she kept repeating everyone's roles over and over to ingrain in everyone's mind that she is now the Robber and Chanse is the Minion. Good on Chanse for passing that by the other players because it quickly established for the table that Amanda and Chanse both had non-Werewolf roles, essentially winning them the game from that point as long as they didn't vote the Tanner out. I'm sure Chanse also picked up on Shayne being their Minion as he was clearly bad and he believed Tommy did see the Tanner in the middle. From there, it didn't really matter who was voted for as long as Amanda and Chanse prevented people from pointing out the gaping holes in their story. Shayne as the Minion backed them heavily by diverting all suspicion on either himself or Tommy. Whether they believed Shayne was the Tanner or the Werewolf, or whether they believed Tommy was lying about being Seer, was all inconsequential. The entire ploy was a distraction to keep everyone from questioning Amanda or Chanse at all. Shayne knew whether they voted for him or for Tommy, he would win either way along with Amanda and Chanse. Well played.
That was probably my favorite version of this they could have done. The intensity of only having one situation and having to come out with their roles and having to maneuver through "What if someone else has this?" as a Werewolf is fantastic and they did it so well. Also, SHAYNE WON A GAME!!!

I had a moment of realization that it was Chanse and Amanda right as voting ended and I got served an ad. I was like “Wait- why would Chanse admit that he’s now the minion?
And even though he seemed to have gotten the robber and doppelganger slightly mixed-up at that point, Amanda managed to blow some suspicion off of it by when she swiftly corroborated his claim!!
I gotta hand it to Bug, it truly _is_ amazing seeing your heroes at work!!
@@genghisgYES I was surprised that no one caught on that Amanda was claiming to have started as the minion but also wasn’t revealing who the werewolves were

You know that kid is named Kaileeleighlynn.
I love how I instantly know it was Kortney who edited this, and I love it
So obvious! I love how their editors are allowed (encouraged?) to have their own personality show. It adds an extra layer to the humor. Kinda in a "New York is the fifth character in sex and the city"-way
Shayne is really the "looks innocent, but is a sneaky savant" player, what a fucking icon ✨
THANK YOU Spencer for switching it up! It IS fascinating how often people get the same roles, but it does get boring, I was here asking myself "why isn't Spencer choosing the roles for them or something" and you flat out removed the villagers, a genious executive decision 🤝
I was hoping he'd pick the first game based on which role he thinks they'd struggle with or do best at because either would be fun to watch.
@@kylejamer Yeah, those would be such great ideas to use! As long as the cast don't know anything, other than maybe "you won't get what you always get", it would work!
The last round was so good and all because Shayne did the 4D chess move to make everyone believe he's a werewolf 😭
Courtney saying she was the werewolf round 2 was INSANE!!
If she argued more that someone did switch her or someone lied about who they switched she could’ve gotten away with it 😂
@@Dkclyrdshe got away with it?
@@brent8407which is insane, courtney said I'm a werewolf and said she was switched, the rest said they didnt switch her, and they all went yea it cant be courtney
@@masonhughes_big Because they all assumed she must be the minion. It's kind of genius: admit to being the wolf so people think you must be the minion or you wouldn't have admitted to being the wolf 😂
i think at the moment it was a smart move, if she tried to lie she could've been exposed for lying from someone else having the same role. just say you're a werewolf and watch people be confused 😂
Arasha opening with the Sarah Christ voice is crazy
It sounds like Angela's "PUT ARASHA IN A MARVEL MOVIE" voice
put Arasha in a Marvel movie PLEASE
I think it's meant to imitate the voice of the app on the phone
This episode showed Shayne’s next level intellect. He’s a damn genius.
This taught me two things, Shayne's really good at this game, and Amanda is...something at this game
Shayne is giving off new Dad vibes, Like he's playing the game with the kids but clearly the game is also on, it's also thanksgiving and he keeps falling asleep.
43:36 I can't believe they didn't catch that if Amanda *was* the minion and Shayne *was* the werewolf, she *should* know this because she would have seen who had their thumbs up before the *robber* switched her card. I guess it was all chaos by then so it didn't sink in with everyone else. GREAT GAME!
Not to mention If Chanse knew he had become the minion he shouldn't want shayne to die if he thought he was the werewolf but he voted for him anyway because he knew he wasn't the werewolf lol and also Chanse told Amanda she was the werewolf and no one noticed 😂
@@OMGSHEENAalso if Chanse were the robber and switched into the minion, he would never say he was the minion now. It goes completely against his interests at that point. Everyone was just too busy mentally to catch these things
Yeah it was very chaotic😂 but these social deduction games are always more social than deduction, so it’s still fun
@bbsbass He could cover his tracks by claiming that he got confused about which side he was on, and act frustrated that he accidentally messed up. Like Courtney covered her slip about the seer role in the first round by saying she messed up. But they didn't notice anyway.
i was CERTAIN it was shayne until i noticed she said that! then i had to pause and i realized she was teh werweolf and that meant chanse was the other werwolf
Arasha opening like a voice disguised dateline interview really set the vibe for me
I knew Kortney edited this one bc of the random silly guys dancing, I love it
I love when Shayne gets out of bed, decides his hair isn't right, gets back into bed and rolls around for while then just.... goes to work.
Shayne really came out with the 1000IQ play at the end there
This should become a series with all the box sets of One Night, with the finale having all the boxes together and tons of people playing one humongous game of One Night
Like everyone. As big as hide and seek
I love Cousin🫡, they bring the whole Smosh family together in a comfortable vibe
Round of applause for cousin 👏👏👏
"at this point I'm playing on my own. I'm having a great time" shayne 😂😂
It makes sense Shayne would be good at this. He knows everyone so well
In true Shayne guesses fashion... mah dude dominated! He guessed all the werewolves even though peops didn't listen and then the play wit da Minion was freakin legendary! PROPS!
Shayne pretending to pull an Angela in the last game and being all "ummm idk oh um tanner", damn he a good actor.
I feel like they all reveal their roles too early, that's why werevolves always win
yeah i dont know why he did that lol
I’m not expecting them all to understand that werewolves have to lie in order to win, which involves pretending to be a role that someone else might have. The fact that the seer buried in all of the early games, and was used on Courtney and not the middle during the previous game, didn’t give Tommy the experience to know to hold his cards until the end to catch one of those lies. Personally, I think he was just excited to not be a villager or tanner and had a useful role for once and just blurted it out.
@@grsspalexactlyyyyyy
I love it when Kortney edits these videos, she adds so much fun.
Glad this time they didn’t rely on Spencer to announce the roles so he can’t skip the Seer twice again 😂
Not Tommy IMMEDIATLY saying which roles he saw in the center, hence giving away to the werewolfs what roles they shouldnt claim 😭
yeah but every time the seer waits, they become suspicious as a potential werewolf or minion, because it looks like they are lying.
yeah giving up information before people's eyes are even open was wild. You have solid info you hold that shit and let someone walk themselves into a trap.
He should've stayed as a villager
Seer is insanely hard to play in one night ultimate tho. The longer into the game the more you sound like you’re just trying to deflect
i think it was still smart though, it makes him more believable because noone would be bold enough to guess TWO cards that arent in play, it's too risky. and it would also make it harder for werewolfs to claim an empty role
but shayne just waited until everyone spoke and claimed the perfect role😭
1:02 im sorry but court looking at Shayne SLAYS ME STILL

Shayne never wins but when he does, he wins SO HARD
Not Spencer having to tell Court to stick up their thumb multiple times 😂

That was probably my favorite version of this they could have done. The intensity of only having one situation and having to come out with their roles and having to maneuver through "What if someone else has this?" as a Werewolf is fantastic and they did it so well. Also, SHAYNE WON A GAME!!!
that last round was INSANE, such a big brain play on multiple sides

Chanse claiming to be the Robber at the end was so freaking smart - it set them up for the win

Lol y’all got my dawg Shayne fighting for his life in this one smh
I would like to thank Kortney for putting in all of those silly little gifs. They make me genuinely happy.
40:14 tell me someone else noticed that Chance admitted to being the werewolf on accident! He told Amanda they swapped and that she's the Werewolf and she then goes wait you were the robber and so now I'm the robber and THEY ALL JUST LET IT SLIDE!!!! Am I crazy or did that just happen 😂😂

No he's not calling Amanda the wherewolf, it looks like he's looking at shane when he says that. He's saying that amanda was the minion 😁
Omg yesss ONUW is definitely my preferred version of the game. Spencer laying down in front of the table to help them see cards across the table while trying to not block the shot was so cute. Courtney stating they’re a werewolf only to not get voted out is such a bold strategy, love that it actually worked! Shayne's psychic abilities are insane here. IMPRESSIVE
He's Shayne from Shayne Guesses for a reason!
not psychic, deduction skills!
after watching almost every social deduction game smosh has played, i've pinpointed most of their "tells" when they're lying. here are some for the people in this video:
arasha - speaks very calmly and doesn't passionately accuse anyone
amanda: gets very lost/confused on how her claim changes everyone else's role
shayne: goes very quiet or fully blanks when put on the spot
tommy: smiles too much or just goes along with others instead of coming up with accusations/scenarios
chanse: gets very defensive and passionate when accusing others
courtney: does "fake out" plays where they directly state what they are or make intentional "silly mistakes"
Shayne was on absolute fire this entire game. Chanse and Courtney had some mad plays too. That last round was incredible!
My favourite part about this video so far is that Shayne appears like he just woke up

I had a moment of realization that it was Chanse and Amanda right as voting ended and I got served an ad. I was like “Wait- why would Chanse admit that he’s now the minion? If he’s the minion now then he doesn’t want people to know. AND ALSO, why hasn’t Amanda said who she saw was the werewolf at the start of the game if she’s no longer the minion.”
Chance’s final round play was absolute genius
