    Great review, & nice darts, I actually met Rob at the premier league darts in Dublin a couple days ago, such a nice man, definitely picking these darts up

    I had a set of rob cross darts version 21 g and I won 2 tournaments with them this year and I play well with them in practice with normal spikes already assembled and I hit 2 180 lines and during one tournament I achieved a high finish at 155 and almost another time in the same tournament just misses the double 19.

    Think I'll be getting these for when my season starts next year! Debated all year what ones to go for and rewatched this and I'm doing it.
    Hope you're well - great review as always.

    Another great structured review Darren with the usual personal friendly feel. Looking at these darts they look very similar to the Bristow darts I bought for my brother a very good looking and a standard preforming dart. I would like to say to add to your comment Darren I hope Phil has a great retirement and I have a feeling we may just see him in the commentary box as a guest in the future so all the best Phil and thanks for all you have done and achieved in darts. Cheers Dynamite Dave.

    Bought a set of these during the final and the storm points along with it. Swapped them out and they flew lovely was taking the darts out if the board and 1 fell on the floor and snapped the point right on the barrel. Arrrgghhh.
    Great review as always. Been watching them for about a yr now and i think you cost me more money than Paddy Power🤣🤣. Thanks again

    I have the 23 gram set of these they grip well I thought and to get a life time barrel guarantee with them I thought was good aswell they work quiet well for me but I'm no pro might get the 21 gram set for my collection soon thanks for all the vids mate keep up the good reviews thanks👍

    the silverback barrels is a bit longer. Cross darts is 4.8 cm long, that's better for me. if you want a thicker barrel than Dimitri van den Bergh is a must!

  • @blackie75

    I bought these a few months back and put some supergrip carbon stems on and changed the flights and I have to say I'm loving these darts. I think this will be my go-to set for a fair while.
    EDIT: forgot to add that the only thing I found a little on the disappointing side about them was the points, which were a little blunt and short, but I'll change them out soon and they should be perfect.

      @@DartsReviewChannel yes they do mate. the darts what they use aren't the same what are sold to the public. I've seen someone with the Taylor phase 5s from argos and the Taylor phase 5s what are match used by him and the ones what are match used look different and they look better quality than the ones you can buy out of the shop

    Well I love a 48 mm Dart always have when I could shoot a straight Barrel since my severe thumb injury I have to shoot a short barrel I think you got those at the right price before they start engraving his name on the darts and you know they're going to go up and price big time they're kind of like the Allen Chuck Norris darts which I love and what I really liked on the review just a suggestion is showing the player with his grip that was really cool thanks for that great review man really appreciate you and what you do as always keep up the great work

      Thanks Brian, its a good classic straight barrel style but there is a lot of darts like this, I used to hate straight barrel darts but I got used to them, usually around 48mm works best for me though. These may be but too grippy for me tho, do you have a list of other darts with 48mm barrel length as you seem to like shorter ones?

    Very nice from Voltage. When I first saw it, I thought it was a Unicorn design lol. And just an observation, my 19gm Paul Lim darts flew just as wild as the Rob Cross with Pear Flights did. Its a really interesting fishtailing but I sort of fixed it out by using the mid to rear grip instead.

    Cross has had an insane first year. Was so lucky to get past Michael Smith as he was in sublime form plus the comeback from the young Belgian and mvg uncharecteristically missing match darts. Still a great player but I need to back mvg a few times this year to get some of my money back ! I backed him when he was 6/4 I'm tournaments and heist has the odd £10 then when he was 4/6 I put more on and always seem to lose! Love their rivalry just wish the bookies would be fairer with the odds as I'll always back mvg though you can only back him outright and even then hes odds on for all tournaments bar the premier league

  • @JosefHerrenhäusermann
    @JosefHerrenhäusermann 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    They can’t even get the bloody world champ’s dart at close to 23g or matched weight to exactly 23g?! I think it is careless when dart manufacturers say a dart weighs 23g or 21g, whatever, and you weigh them and they’re 23.1 something or 23.2 something - ESPECIALLY when you’ve paid £60, £70 + for them! Anyway, I get it that nobody can feel .1 something, but it is the principle of the fact regarding a buyer’s expectation of quality and care that companies are supposed to be putting into their products. Anyways, even after that rant, I still own a set of these and love ‘em hahaha. They epitomize my preferred dart. Thanks for the review/content, it’s always fun to watch your videos, Darren mate.

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There has not been many darts which are an exact 23.00 or whatever weight the box says, its never that easy to get such a perfect weight as the tungsten itself can have more or less the density and quality of another barrel, its always going to be a case of getting as close as possible. As long as the barrels are within the usual +/- 0.1 or 0.05 gram as stated on the box its fine. :) Cheers! :)

    • @JosefHerrenhäusermann
      @JosefHerrenhäusermann 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DartsReviewChannel yes, but what I am saying is when darts manufacturers demand a PREMIUM price for their darts as they do so today, I am expect some close attention to detail. I’m NOT talking about my desire to see the barrels EXACTLY 25g or whatever it is advertised as, but I do expect there to be a zero in the tenth’s place; there are countless video on YOUR CHANNEL haha and many others where the darts have that zero in the tenth’s place. It may sound pedantic, but darts manufacturers are, apparently, more than capable of doing so on a massively consistent basis, so there is really no excuse for some to be thought of as, “eh, close enough. They’ll probably won’t ever weigh ‘em.” It is, however, paramount that they are ALL three within that 0.05g guarantee of each other, again, to show attention to detail in order to substantiate these often absurd prices demanded for darts. It isn’t about wanting them to be 25.0000000058987, but having that zero in the tenth’s place is not too much to expect, that’s all I’m saying, mate. Cheers

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I understand, I just mean if it is advertised on the box as within the 0.05g or 0.10g then the least we can expect is that all 3 barrels are within that range of being matched. How close that figure is to the whole number is another matter as is the price to quality control ratio. But I do agree that within reason it should be possible for them to be as close as possible. I know some brands have and do do it but they are often Asian brands that charge even more for the privilege of getting a perfectly matched set. Best I have seen on many of their darts is South Korean brand Bullsfighter, nearly every set I ever had were perfectly matched and they were not too crazily priced compared to some of the Japanese brands. Not many brands form their own tungsten billets, it's nearly all bought from China these days. But you can machine 3 billets exactly the same and that still does not guarantee that the barrels will be perfectly matched. Because the tungsten will not be 100% equal in density, it will be very close though. So to get the barrels perfect or as close to as possible they have to go through each barrel matching them, which is what I would expect them to do at the very least. If there is still not a close enough match then they would have to drill some tungsten out which means extra work and I think they would charge even more then. I would assume if the quality of tungsten is good enough then they should only need to match by picking 3 barrels close in weight though and I think it is clear that sometimes they don't seem to have done that. I know there has been plenty of instances in my reviews where the barrels are not matched within the range stated. It's not good when that happens but also not the end of the world, suppose it depends on the individual's view on it. I've never known anyone send a set back because of it but I think there's been a few where it's been so far out I guess that I could have. Again I agree that these days it should be less of a problem as the machines have become much more refined but it still happens, more than likely just down to poor quality control.

    • @JosefHerrenhäusermann
      @JosefHerrenhäusermann 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DartsReviewChannel yes, it all boils down to attention to detail and a matter of how much pride manufactures put into their darts. I’ve found the Asian brands to be very well machined (clean and precise under magnification), and, as you said, a high degree of actual perfect match weighting. The match weighting is the most impotent (0.05 +/-), but it is also nice to see that 0 in the tenth’s place because it just makes you feel like they gave a crap when they made the barrels haha I, and, essentially everyone I know who plays darts seriously, expects as close to perfection as it gets when they’re peeling £50,£60,£70+ quid on a set of bloody darts, ya know? Anyway, cheers, mate, look forward to your next video. Oh, I’d like to know more about that Korean co., Bullfighters? I know Koreans are very good craftsman and would love to check ‘em out if possible…

I have a lot that I never got round to reviewing mainly because people often moaned they were hard to get hold of but they always said they made their own tungsten and that it was higher quality than others but I can't say if that's true. My main issue with a lot of Asian brands is they often are made for rear grippers so not good for me as a frontie 😊 Cheers 👍

    I used to weigh my darts a couple years ago, I found it put me off a hell of a lot knowing that they are 0.01g or whatever different from each other! Kinda played on my mind, anyone else found this?

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think a few people are like that, I guess it depends on how particular you are about such things but in reality there is no perceptible difference at such small discrepancies, even at 0.1g its doubtful people can feel the difference but as darts is often such a mental game then its understandable how small things can affect people if they think about. But if you get any pro players darts and weigh them after they have been using them for any length of time its highly unlikely they will be perfectly matched in weight and it does not stop them playing so well. The main reason for me weighing them when they are new is more of a test to see how good the manufacturers quality control is, if they have took the time to match weight them as close as possible then its good but most have a tolerance of 0.1g which is a tenth of a gram so as long as they are within that range its fine and some have a tolerance of 0.05g which is five hundredths of a gram so even better if they are within that range :)

    • @kaneread286
      @kaneread286 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course overtime your 23g dart will become lighter as the grip wears away and it's gets chipped when points and barrels collide with the darts! It's only MVG I can think of who's kept the exact same darts his whole career!

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL yeah MVG but there was some guy the other year who had a set for over 30 years and one was nearly 3g lighter than the others! :)
