You are in luck, the bootleg Spider-man 2099 is pretty amazing for only $15-$16. I just got him and he's almost as good as the real one minus some imperfections on the paint and a bit smaller.
Fun fact: the bootleg 2099 fig is actually better, not only is the scale more accurate, but the skin tone on the unmasked heads is more accurate, to! Not to mention the lack of a clunky solid-plastic cape!
a lot of times bootleggers will take the actual figure and use the parts to make their own molds. this is probably why the scale is slightly smaller because a copy will always be a bit smaller when you make your own mold using the original. alternatively, they may swap in parts from other figures as well. sometimes both. On occasions, however they may use the factory molds with their own custom materials,. generally after hours. when the factory has closed. This last one is actually what happened with the rather infamous NECA Ninja Turtles bootlegs.
I am curious if you'd do a 'top 10 KO' sort of video. I don't like the idea of promoting KO, but I'm still curious if there are any out there you couldn't distinguish from the real one.
Did you use iphone to capture this? Cause I have the same figure but I dont get the fine details I see like in you video...or maybe they just are different. It does look way better in person though (i can see the detail) but on my phone it looks diffrent lol well imma just say, i think yours looks better than mine (the not sh one)
My method is using adhesive latex mixed with water. Apply a thin layer on the area you want and leave overnight. The mixture will turn transparent when dried. It's removable so no need to worry about applying too much.

Alright I shelled out the extra dough for a real version (its the one that has all the bandai logo and stickers tamashii nations) its not the limited edition one you have but It is the real one. I hope its worth it lol.
@@SpicyPsyDuck OK 50 cent army. It's something I read in a blog from a legal company that tries to enforce legal protections for IP in China. I doubt I would find it again. It is also legal to copy stuff in China if the company doesn't have a written contract that says the Chinese factory can't copy it. Not that it matters, Chinese will copy it any way, legal or not.

I think the CT version actually scales better than the SHF with my other Spider-Man figures. The Shf are a little bit too tall to me.
