There is nothing wrong with DEI.
Here in America, when Trump describes the immigrants bringing in bad blood, murderers, *apist and from insane asylums, he says they take Black Jobs.
As a black American that’s an insult described by Trump.
Trump doesn’t say they are taking American jobs nor low income jobs. Yet he truly believe black jobs are at risk.
DEI gives minorities and women the ability for their skills to be considered for jobs they qualify for. Without it, the 40% that believes everything Trump says, won’t give us a second look.
Why should they, when Trump continuously says blacks are the Americans that aren’t skilled enough to hold on to their jobs from migrants that are insane?
That actor is one example (we were all upset about), compared to the 100’s that it really happens too. Don’t put down the blacks that go through terrible racist situations. It does happen here in America.
Successful black Americans deal with racism unlike how you’re describing. We are all different. Yet it doesn’t make it right. DEI is a solution.

I (a white girl) was probably in third grade and my best friend was a black girl named Evelyn. It was black history month, and the teacher told us about slavery and racism and told us to look around at each other and understand what terrible things white people had done to black people in history. Evelyn and I were super uncomfortable around each other for a few days, then we stopped talking. We were never friends again. I never saw what color she was or why it should matter until someone else told me.

The problem here is that the teacher cherry picks only about racism and slavery in the USA. The USA is very much in a bubble in terms of world events and global history. If she would have talked about white slaves all throughout history, the many Asian slaves, etc etc... you'd have stayed friends.

I'm so glad this wasn't ever a thing in my childhood.
We where allowed to be kids without being sexualized or made to hate anyone based on skin.
Nowadays they groom children sexually and tell everyone the white mans the devil if they have white skin bully them.
Now we are told white people are responsible for things that happened when we weren't even born, but yet holding a brown person responsible for their evil doings is mental health.
I'm sick fed up with this , it's deliberately designed to divide, but the racists of all creeds cant help but bite the bate like a baracuda and the world has gone to the dogs.

@@variouscrazypeople254 Fun fact. Race based slavery in the U.S. was essentially started from a man trying to get out of letting go of his indentured servants whose contracts were up.
Most of the things people blame the world's problems on are at least a degree removed from the actual problem. Racism, abuse of religious authority, abuse of political authority, abuse of economic systems, abuse of the law, crime, pointless wars, it doesn't matter what surface level issue you point to. There are absolutely systems that can encourage or discourage these things to various degrees, but in the end the short-sighted self-serving behavior of individuals is at the core of all of these problems, and they will use whatever ideology or system that they can to justify their behavior. No religion, no economic system, no type of government, no broad social issue is responsible for the ills of humanity, and ultimately are distractions meant to cover and excuse core selfish motivations.

So, I do makeup and am a beauty consultant for a living and I had a client come in who was black. And we ended up being from the same home town but a bit far apart, and we were like, immediately friends.
She said what she wanted as far as her beauty look (she had issues with hyperpigmentation) so I suggested she try the brand Live Tinted and stressed that it was dedicated to people with hyperpigmentation. I happened to say “I’ve heard that people of color like it because the woman who started it is and they like to good shade matching.”
Almost immediately, I felt a shift in the dynamic. And my calling her a “person of color,” disenchanted her and separated us. She didn’t like a brand that’s supposedly “for a person of color,” that term seemed to separate us and she even seemed a bit insulted. And she wouldn’t let me show her anything from the line.
I felt terrible and I only used that term because I was told that’s the term nowadays. I’ve always been uncomfortable with it. From here on out I’m only ever going to say, “people with dark skin tones.” In the real world, teaching people to use these terms and concepts are the racists and they’re not bringing people together. They’re forcing us to separate and to insult each other. I lost a friend that day all because of this shotty B.S.

It’s annoying how every little thing is seen as racial bias. Like that lady that sued Sesame Street. In her mind there was only one reason for that situation to happen. I sure hope she didn’t get rewarded for being so dumb.
