Another thing that DuckTales, Amphibia, and The Owl House have in common with Gravity Falls is that all three aformentioned shows have some of the same crew members who previously worked on Gravity Falls (Matt Braly, Dana Terrace, Alex Hirsch).
The humor of Amphibia can be summed up in one of my favorite interactions in the show: “Where I’m from, we didn’t rush people *in the bathroom.”* “Oh yeah? Well back in my day WE DIDN’T HAVE A BATHROOM!” “STOP HITTING A BATTERING RAM AGAINST THE DOOR!” “ITS BEEN TWO HOURS!”

There's actually a bunch of Owl House Easter eggs in Gravity Falls. There's a Gravity Falls comic that has wanted posters for Eda and hidden messages in it *and* a secret Grunkle Stan commentary on a Gravity Falls disc of some kind (I think) that talks about "Stan's Ex-wife" with "pale skin", what Stan thinks is "Fake hair" and "One weirdly sharp tooth" (and it basically states that she stole his money and magicaaly dissappeared from a police chase)
Lol. I can get it tho tbh. Romance already engages people, blatant gay romance in a disney show? Yeah that'll get people excited lol. Plus as this guy proved you can talk about it without going into the gay stuff lol. Tbh its something I like about the show a lot atm, it has a bunch of everything. A show set in a fantasy world implied to have disturbing implications with mystery, humour and romance? Sign me up lol
I get what he was talking about with Ducktales, but I can't see it, it feels like it is different show with a different thing at it's core when compared to Gravity Falls. Am I making sense? Or am I just speaking my opinion to the uncaring masses. Who cares I'm gonna do it anyway. Edit: Summary: Ducktales is Ducktales and Gravity Falls is Gravity Falls, it's comparing apples and oranges, yes they are both fruit, but that doesn't make them exactly alike.
Idk. The first episode was very gravity falls like. Also, there's no denying that webby is very simaler to mabel. I love ducktales but there's no denying the slight similarities.
It’s probably the most different show compared to Gravity Falls, probably because the supernatural aspect isn’t as prevalent compared to the other shows
Ducktales is a great show, even considered as one of the best cartoon reboots, rhis show really hits hard for young adults because of nostalgia, they have a focus for each season and pull up a crazy finale out of that
@@floatytrouty yeah, but that alone doesnt mean it fits the title of the new gravity falls. Something could be just as good as gravity falls and still not be the *same*.
10:37 This plot hole confused me too, but there’s an episode in the series where King is watching TH-cam on Luz’s phone, which is connected to a charger through the portal door. She also makes a comment like “Oh, looks like you’re getting enough wifi through the portal” so I guess when she texts her mom here the portal is open. In season 2 she tries to text her again after the portal is destroyed but the messages fail to send because there’s no way for them to
I feel like the reason these shows aren’t taking off is because the characters are animals or fantasy creatures. For this reason many viewers think of the shows as childish. Although gravity falls had its silly moments it was clear that gravity falls had a dark theme to it Edit: the shows aren’t taking off *as much as gravity falls* Edit 2: owl house is taking off but absolutely NOTHING compared to gravity falls
yeah the owl house as well, it's really taking a darker path (i mean just look at some of the demon's designs) and with the double meaning behind stuff like the coven system and (SPOILER) the Emperor lying about the Titan allowing Eda to go.
:SU fans amphibia can't act like Steven universe : Amphibia *laughs in pain and true colors* we pulled a Steven universe so hahaha (Both shows tugged at my heart SO YEAH PAIN)
Amphibia is one of the best shows right now tbh, combining lore, mystery, comedy and music quite efficiently and mark my words will become one of the most popular shows of all time (fun fact creator of Amphibia, Matt Braly, previously worked as a director in Gravity Falls)
I honestly feel Ducktales is the closest to a "Gravity Falls sucessor" because it takes the theme of family and takes it even further. There is mystery as well, even if there's a plotline per season rather than a big storyline.
Let's go! I love The Owl House and Amphibia, so glad to see other people talking about it Edit: Damn, I didn't think my comment would get mad hype, but thanks y'all. Here's to the 2020 Gravity Fall Spritiual Remakes!
Out of these three, I'd definitely have to say that Ducktales is the best. It has an awesome story, all of the episodes feature some sort of wacky adventure, the characters are loveable, and even though it's not the most popular of the shows, it still has a loyal fan base and it's just an all around fun cartoon. (Also, anything with Lin in it is just automatically amazing.)
I really don’t understand why it’s not more popular. It’s by far the best out of these 3 shows, and maybe even better than Gravity Falls. The only show better than DuckTales is Milo Murphy’s Law, but there’s no way that anyone will ever talk about that show. But seriously, DuckTales deserves more popularity.
Ducktales: mickey mouse with lore Amphibia: underated and amazing Owl House: beautifully thought through Big City Greens: fish out of water story that recently left us with a cliffhanger Edit: no more cliffhanger
The owl house is literally one of the worst written shows in existence. Eda: “I’m on the run.” Also eda: “IM EDA THE OWL LADY, THE STRONGEST WITCH IN THE BOILING ISLES!”
@@nunyabuisness6238 a very fake fact that is not a fact and just someone who doesn’t like the show and is trying to make everyone else feel the same way and you shouldn’t do that.
How is "DuckTales" following on Gravity Falls template... when Ducktales is based on the classic DuckTales? I mean, you could argue that they got inspired to create the whole Della Duck arc out of Ford's arc, but, honestly, if anything Gravity Falls was the one who got more or less inspired by the old DuckTales cartoon and added on to it.
I'd also say there's more old DuckTales influence on Gravity Falls then Gravity Falls influence on new DuckTales, but you can't deny that the changes made were definitely mirrored in Gravity Falls. For example, Donald Duck appearing makes for the similar set-up, because it allows Uncle Scrooge and his mansion to be brand new, and there's Della's storyline as you pointed, and Webby's totally reformed personality.
Well, it's probably second only to The Owl House as being the most popular show in Disney TVA in terms of having a cult following, but it probably doesn't help much with its recognition that Matt Braly didn't vocally promote it as much as Dana did with TOH.
Grunkle Stan (Episode: Dungeons, dungeons and more dungeons) : "I'll have you know Duck-tective has a mystery element and a bunch of adult jokes that go over kids' heads!" Me: Did he just predict Ducktales (2017) ?

Big City Greens is at heart a show about a family that isn’t doing to well financially and aren’t gonna be doing that much better any time soon, but still having fun with family. It is probably the most “kiddish” of these cartoons on the surface, but in a way it’s the deepest. You should have covered it.
Yeah it's really funny and heartfelt. It's disappointing that it gets overshadowed by the other shows just because it's more episodic and not lore heavy.
Spoiler alert!!!! Webby being scrooges biological daughter blew my freaking mind. Ultimate plot twist,ESPECIALLY since it was all revealed in an hour and thirty minutes
Why does *anything* need to "replace" Gravity Falls? Why can't these shows just stand on their own? Besides, nothing will *ever* replace Gravity Falls. I understood what he meant!!! Stop leaving comments!!!
I don't think he means it's gonna actually replace it, but rather which one is gonna take off in popularity and be remembered for years to come like Gravity Falls is.
On a reddit AMA thread, Matt Braly explained that the reason the first season of Amphibia centered more around slice of life episodes came at the behest of Disney executives who asked the crew to tone down the adventure and magical elements of the show citing the success of Nickelodeon's The Loud House as something they wanted to see.
tehredmage They’re idiots, then, because the loud house isn’t even half as popular as gravity falls; the execs over at Disney don’t deserve their jobs, and should be replaced; I knew something was off with the pacing of the first season of that show, amphibia; I wonder what it could’ve looked like if they actually gave Matt Brady the creative liberty that they should’ve given him; this is annoying to know; I feel as if I’ve been cheated out of what could’ve been a better experience.
Kaleb Koch It could’ve been better, at least, but apparently, everything has to be pared down for the lowest common denominator over at Disney; it’s disappointing to know.
Gravity Falls: "We're back! And we're feeling groovy! On Disney we keep the mysteries moving!" DuckTales: "ADVENTURE!" Amphibia: "Doo bee doo traveling" Owl House: "I like monsters!"
The DuckTales part reminded me of SeaHawk from She-Ra saying ``ADVENTURE!`` lol, also, The Owl House isn't all monsters, it also have adventures in some episodes.
@@SeesawChaos All of these shows have a lot more stuff that makes them good (and yes i know im late, and yes "ADVENTURE" reminded me of Sea Hawk as well)
"So far, Amphibia, much like Ducktales, is more of a comedy show that occasionally breaks out into plot" Oh, don't worry, True Colors will change that.
On the one hand, I don't think we'll have to worry about Ducktales coming to a close just yet. Seeing as how the series will be starting up again on Monday, there may be some more surprises on the way (maybe another season.) On the other hand, I think the reason Ducktales isn't so widely talked about is the fact that (at the moment) it doesn't have anything to make it REALLY stand out. With Gravity Falls; there was the mysteries of the town, the arrival of Bill Cipher and of course, the identity of who wrote the Journals. With Owl House, there's Luz's character and her recent budding relationship with Amity that's got critics talking. With Amphibia; you've got the mystery of the music box, the possible war Grime might start with all the citizens of the valley and of course, the mystery of whether or not the girls will get back home. But with Ducktales....it's kinda, sorta following the same formula as the original; that being the Duck Family going on adventures. Sure, we had Della's whereabouts and the reveal of F.O.W.L. but the show's pretty much been going through the same motions as the original. I Think what Ducktales 2017 REALLY needs to get critics talking about it is maybe, a race against the clock situation. Maybe have F.O.W.L. get Scrooge infected with a disease or come into possession of an artifact that will wipe the McDuck name from history forever within a matter of hours
I don’t think DuckTales is the same as the original at all. Della’s character is a big reason for that. Just because she’s acclimating herself to the family doesn’t mean the show is as it was before. Having her there somehow makes the family unit closer than I personally believe they were in the original series or simply leading up to it in this one. Plus, and I hate to say this, it’s just....higher quality? I’m never someone who willingly hands out credit to a reboot but DT shouldn’t have to have a bigger shakeup to make people talk about it. It’s a great show in subtler ways than great shows typically are. If anything I respect that it’s not making a bid for the spotlight. It’s just happy doing its own thing and it’s frankly shaping up to be one of my favorite properties with the Disney name on it. I think it should be commended for what it’s doing exactly at this moment. Edit: Should’ve said Della *and* Donald. Donald’s absence from the original has never made sense and they take full advantage of how wonderful the character is in DT.
Yeah I agree. I love duck tales but I just need something to get people. Btw that infection idea/wiping the McDuck name from history is brilliant. Doing like that would put it on the map for a lot more people
Magica is coming back and the plot of the episodes looks like they will be kicking a lot of butts and also new characters are coming back from old series such as Goselyn from Dark Wing Duck. Also there is going to be a Halloween episode that looks really cool.
The one thing I'm worried about the Owl House is the fandom itself, due to the fact that the show is more known of its LGBTQ representation and the whole controversy that happened a while ago with Luz being bisexual than the actual plot. I'm afraid that this will be another star vs the forces of evil type situation where the show focuses to much on representation and shipping than the plot or character development. Rest assured that the creator of the Owl house stated that she isn't all to focused on romantic sub plots and will be focusing more on the plot which I was relieved when I heard it, but I'm still worried that the fandom will somewhat taint the show in some way
@@preciousbabyboy947 I did not know that, all I've seen or know so far is that there's an uncomfortable amount of nsfw of the Owl house and people posting weird shit the makes me hate the Owl house fandom little by little

I love duck tales too don’t get me wrong, before I watched it I kinda thought it was dumb but I also thought that about almost every cartoon like adventure time, you have to watch it first in order to get hooked. And on the first episode of duck tales I was hooked
i love all these cartoons, and i've been following their development months before they came out, but i have to agree, The Owl House hits different for me. Im so exited for whats in store for the future. Ducktales and Amphibia have potential. me and my twin brother sit out on the couch every saturday to watch the new episode of Amphibia [And occasionally ducktales; he isn't a fan of TOH]. Ducktales seems to be getting another great plot in the works, but i think they haven't released an episode in awhile. i have no other cartoons to watch now that alot of the cartoon network shows like Adventure Time: Distant Lands and Infinity Train have moved to HBO. [ive watched everything on Netflix too] Disneys doing great so far [in terms of animation, their sitcoms are somehow getting worse xD]
I really never liked Disney channel's & Disney xd sitcoms the laugh tracts just made me cringe but i think Disney channel's was way better than Disney xd cause xD's were like: 2 bro doing radical stuff with gross out humor. Also ducktales just camback
I've been watching The Owl House since the day it premired and was following it when Disney announced the new show. Including Amphibia of course, but TOH has a bigger fandom so let's talk about that. Watching the show and fandom grow was such a surreal and new experience as somebody who's always late to the party, I can't help but feel proud of it. The Owl House definitely is Gravity Falls amazing, with its new sense of style and mystery. I absolutely adore this show and feel so validated as a bisexual POC. And although I can't relate much to Luz, I do feel like I'm too different for the world, so it's great. Not in a "im not like other girls" way, just that I don't get many friends because I can never relate to them ripperoni. And let's talk about Infinity Train! It's such a unique show, you have no idea. I've been following it since the first episode as well (and I mean the first episode in late 2019, not the pilot lol), and I love it! It doesn't get as much hype as it deserves, and I hope that once season 4 comes out, the fandom will blow up. And KIPO! That's great as well! The last season, season 3, is coming out in October and I hope you get to talk about it some day. It's just as great as the rest! Not Gravity Falls vibe, more of a SU and Adventure Time vibe with a hint of something else that I can't exactly explain, but it's still great!
@@nunyabuisness6238 Probably now, but 7 months ago it was still pretty small, which is when I wrote this comment. And The Owl House is still good, but it's fine if you don't like it.

1:02 the mcu isn't that formulaic. They have different genres and types. thor ragnarok and ant man are comedies, but winter soldier and civil war are political thrillers. I don't really agree that all mcu movies follow a formula.
Ah yes, the reason why one can watch the entire MCU franchise is because each movie is unique in their execution. Sure in the end they're all superheroes fighting bad guys with superpowers, but they all have something different to show: Spiderman, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Guardians of the Galaxy for example, all had this en goal of beating up a bad guy and getting the lvoe of the audience while building more and more of the Marvel Universe, but they always felt like they were in their own worlds, their own stories, with their own humor and their own drama. That's one reason why the MCU is so successful all the way through Endgame.
They do have different themes and genres, but formula transcends that and is more about storytelling. Like how there's this really common trope of the villain for the first installment be a dark mirror of the hero (Iron Monger, Abomination, Kaecillian, Yellowjacket, Killmonger etc.). Having a formula is not a bad thing, it creates familiarity with the audience and helps unify the movies.
Season 2 has made it clearer that The Owl House is the answer. While underwhelmed by season 1 of the show, and really liking both seasons the stabby child frog show had to offer, the gay owl show’s second season is on its way to being one of my favorite cartoon seasons ever, rivaling season 2 of Rick, Morty and season 2 of Gravity Falls, and even all of the perfection that is ATLA. Although The Owl House seems to be the lore spiritual successor to Gravity Falls, Amphibia has amplified the humor we came to love from Gravity Falls, while adding an emotional aspect I don’t think I’ve ever seen in a cartoon.
Amphibia is really great, it's more of a slowburn show, just sit down and enjoy it, it has the best humor of the three and the plot slowly but steady starts to make its way here. Also Matt loves playing with out emotions, it the best season 1 finale out of the 3
If you need constant plot, I recommend you skip the bulk of the middle first season and jump to the end after the start, but if you can wait and/or you enjoy the goofy bits, I strong recommend you watch all of Amphibia
I love what Ducktales is doing with its characters! There's actual depth to them this time unlike the show from the 80's. And I like how it's borrowing characters from other series like Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, etc.
THE AMPHIBIA HOUSE CROSSOVER: Luz: OMG you got Isekai-ed?! I got Isekai-ed too!! Anne: No way! What kind of place did you go to? Luz: I go to magic school to learn how to be a witch! Where'd you go?! Anne: ... I eat bugs in a swamp.
Amphibia is literally one of the most popular and best shows in existence. for the owl house... it’s popular but not that good. Also I’d take Amphibia over the boiling isles.
The owl house is made by Alex hirsch’s girlfriend and the lore timing is basically the same as gravity falls with a little funny exploring leading up to the big boy plot but the exploring is not poo poo filler.also the theme song tempo with them both is the same and if you do not believe ms use the owl house theme song in gravity falls

I don’t see many people down here talking about Ducktales, so I guess I’ll talk about it because it is one of my my favorite shows if not my number one favorite... There are quite a lot of people talking about, as someone in the fandom, but obviously not as much as the other two. I’ve just looked for the people talking about it, and found them. I guess I could say there’s a lot of people talking about it, but a lot of people don’t know about it. I know I found out about it because both of my parents watched the original and they just happened to show it to me. I just knew of it and appreciated it’s existence. Then, three years later, people in a discord server I was in mentioned one of the new season 3 episodes and I got back into it. I don’t know why I’m talking about myself I’m going to talk about the show now The show is great, but, like you said, it doesn’t have a lot of the mystery element. The mystery part is just kinda lingering in the background. But, I feel like the strongest elements are it’s characters and comedy. I would say characters because each one has a defined personality, and all of them (if you’re not Doofus Drake) are pretty likable. I have my own favorite characters, but I can still have appreciation for each and every character if someone else mentions them. I say comedy simply because the show’s actually really funny, I’ve laughed out loud quite a few times while watching it.
@@aidanredding8058 Even though Grom propelled its popularity, I feel that the show is still pretty good. Oh boy, I can’t wait for Owl House to end with Luz casting a spell that obliterates all magic rendering all world building to be completely pointless, because that’s totally how you’re supposed to end a show like that right?
DuckTales, to be honest, series mystery left after the first season. The last episode told us where Della was. They didn't even had to rescue her, she got herself off the moon!
Well, the mother's mystery is already solved, now the only mystery missing is the intentions that FOWL has ... things are not over yet. By the way, I love Ducktales, I'm a big fan
TOH is probably my 2nd favorite Disney show. I just love everything about it! I’d say it could become the next Gravity Falls, but we’ll just have to see what season 2 brings.
7:03 well, the thing is amphibia isn’t trying to be mysterious there completely different and u can’t really compare it’s obviously not gonna be the same it’s supposed to be unique and diffferent
Honestly, with all the big fantasy serialized shows, having something like Big City Greens feels like a necessity. It's also hilarious, so there's that.
I think the real hype about TOH is the fact that it’s the first Disney cartoon to have open and canon LGBTQ representation, which we ALL love, as it shows us that they are becoming modern (even thought Dana Terrace had to fight for it)
Disney in my opinion had 4 big hits using animation on Disney channel: Ducktales (1980s), Kim Possible(2000s), Phineas and Ferb and of course Gravity Falls. My personal favourite is Kim Possible but I highly doubt kids in the 2010s would even know what this show was. In fact I’m going to rewatch it on Disney +
All i have finished thoroughly, amazing shows all around. My personal favorite Phineas and Ferb, it was my entire childhood Gravity Falls is also amazing.
I don’t understand why DuckTales isn’t more popular. Nobody ever talks about it, even though there’s so much to talk about. It’s way better than Amphibia or Owl House, but nobody cares.
Out of all of them... The Owl House is my favorite. And I have a strong feeling for it. Something about it screams that it'll be the best show of the 2020's. And I hope Rider talks about it... Like... As much as he talks about Steven Universe. Steven Universe was my all time favorite show. And to this day it still is. But I needed to have a runner up to help cope the sadness of SU ending. And The Owl House is just... Right up there. I want to see this show continue and not get cancelled because of dumb people saying "Oh no! Gay kids and demonic spells!" like... Bruh. But yeah. Sorry for the rant. I just really love The Owl House. [UPDATE] Still love TOH!!! So happy it's doing SO MUCH right now. Personally I've changed and think that Amphibia is a bit better in my opinion. But I love both of these shows so so much.
I hope it doesn’t do what do the did with She-Ra, because they literally made all the characters LGBTQ which got annoying because i think there should be mix.
Oh boy you haven’t seen season 2 yet? I believe the mid-season finale came out today and _oh boy_ season 2 is just absolutely one of the best things to ever air on television. _You need to watch season 2 as soon as possible_
Amphibia is criminally underrated and it needs all the support it can get, it deserves it. Fun Fact: the show’s creator Matt Braly worked on ‘Northwest Mansion Mystery’ from GF and ‘Lars and the Cool Kids’ from SU
Owl house fan here (ATLA reference). Amphibia is on Disney+ if I'm not mistaken but there's other ways to watch it, like Kim cartoon. It's pretty good.
There is Literally a Gravity Falls cameo in Amphibia, and one of the Characters in The Owl House is voiced BY THE CREATOR OF GRAVITY FALLS (it's king if y'all are wondering, he literally sounds like a Calmer Bill Cipher.)
Another thing that DuckTales, Amphibia, and The Owl House have in common with Gravity Falls is that all three aformentioned shows have some of the same crew members who previously worked on Gravity Falls (Matt Braly, Dana Terrace, Alex Hirsch).

“Oh yeah? Well back in my day WE DIDN’T HAVE A BATHROOM!”
“STOP HITTING A BATTERING RAM AGAINST THE DOOR!”

Impossible
Out of these three, I'd definitely have to say that Ducktales is the best. It has an awesome story, all of the episodes feature some sort of wacky adventure, the characters are loveable, and even though it's not the most popular of the shows, it still has a loyal fan base and it's just an all around fun cartoon.
(Also, anything with Lin in it is just automatically amazing.)
Too true but ducktales will get popular soon cause it only came out in 2017
I love ducktales too
Also, ducktales referenced other Disney afternoon shows ie Darkwing duck.
Also, each character's actions actually have conciquences.
I really don’t understand why it’s not more popular. It’s by far the best out of these 3 shows, and maybe even better than Gravity Falls. The only show better than DuckTales is Milo Murphy’s Law, but there’s no way that anyone will ever talk about that show.

I was thinking exactly that
@@Palver69 me too
I'd also say there's more old DuckTales influence on Gravity Falls then Gravity Falls influence on new DuckTales, but you can't deny that the changes made were definitely mirrored in Gravity Falls. For example, Donald Duck appearing makes for the similar set-up, because it allows Uncle Scrooge and his mansion to be brand new, and there's Della's storyline as you pointed, and Webby's totally reformed personality.

Aquilo I don’t think Amphibia would be good either way
Kaleb Koch It could’ve been better, at least, but apparently, everything has to be pared down for the lowest common denominator over at Disney; it’s disappointing to know.
Aquilo trust me, there’s almost nothing Disney can do that will disappoint me more than their treatment of Milo Murphy’s Law.
Kaleb Koch What’s that? And what did they do to it?
Gravity Falls: "We're back! And we're feeling groovy! On Disney we keep the mysteries moving!"
DuckTales: "ADVENTURE!"
Amphibia: "Doo bee doo traveling"

On the one hand, I don't think we'll have to worry about Ducktales coming to a close just yet. Seeing as how the series will be starting up again on Monday, there may be some more surprises on the way (maybe another season.)
On the other hand, I think the reason Ducktales isn't so widely talked about is the fact that (at the moment) it doesn't have anything to make it REALLY stand out.
What you suggested already happened twice. (The shadow war and moonvasion)
Doing like that would put it on the map for a lot more people
The more people that talk about it, the more likely the show is to do that. Keep watching, and keep commenting!

I've been following it since the first episode as well (and I mean the first episode in late 2019, not the pilot lol), and I love it! 1:02 the mcu isn't that formulaic. They have different genres and types. thor ragnarok and ant man are comedies, but winter soldier and civil war are political thrillers. I don't really agree that all mcu movies follow a formula.
@radstaz bruh watch any avengers movie or the black panther that's a good example as well.
Formula does not equal theme.

Infinity Train
It ain’t Disney, but you should take a look at Infinity Train if your looking for some deep mystery stuff
Which is your favourite season me season 2
@@abdulrahmanataya7296 x2 the Best is season 2
@@abdulrahmanataya7296 mines season 1 simply because of the divorce theme. It hit really close to home for me. I also really REALLY liked the characters, and they mystery aspect. Season 2 is great tho. They all are.

Bruh, same
I liked book 2 most and book 3 least form infinity train
Considering Owl House isn't getting a season three DESPITE all it's praise and love, it's the biggest fit
Getting a season 3, just one with very little run time and without the spinoffs and comics that were in the works. We have a petition to save it at 112k right now though. Plus it trended at #3 a few times.
I don’t know why I’m talking about myself I’m going to talk about the show now
The show is great, but, like you said, it doesn’t have a lot of the mystery element.
Ash I think they were trying to make doofus an asshole and they succeeded
Green-Eyed Psycho they definitely succeeded
This is one of my favorite shows!!! Of all times!!!
A moment of appreciation
for the fans and viewers who kept asking him to talk about The Owl House
Duchi yES
The catalyst for The owl house’s popularity was grom let’s be honest
Nah it gained it's popularity by it's amazing animation, it's good storytelling, and by the fact that it's a disney show.
Actually nah, even before Grom it was already pretty popular
@@lazrinproject3001 True, but Grom was when tons more people starting talking about it.
@@aidanredding8058 Even though Grom propelled its popularity, I feel that the show is still pretty good. I just hope that the romance sideplots, if there ever will be any, will not be the focus of the entire show. (I’m okay with shipping and other stuff I just don’t want the next seasons to be majorly focused on that.)
@@BowieIsAfraid Oh yeah totally. I'm just saying that's when it exploded. And Dana Terrace said the romance stuff will be more of a side-focus.
The credits in "The Owl House" is kind of similar to "Star VS The Forces Of Evil" but, no hate to "The Owl House"😁
No it’s totally different
You noticed that too?
Oh boy, I can’t wait for Owl House to end with Luz casting a spell that obliterates all magic rendering all world building to be completely pointless, because that’s totally how you’re supposed to end a show like that right?
*sniff* Hmm yep, smells like salt.
You're still a bit annoyed too?
Why am i getting some deja vu rn?
Both shows are just as terrible.
@@MiloMurphysLaw Haha, excuse me, but..WHAT?
DuckTales, to be honest, series mystery left after the first season. The last episode told us where Della was. They didn't even had to rescue her, she got herself off the moon!
@Vaylin Theron I meant that they wasn't the ones to go get her
Vaylin Theron he never found her though she got herself off by fixing the rocket
Scrooge litterly almost went bankrupt trying to find her, he search the whole moon and couldn't find her
Let's just say season two is WAR
There's a solid amount of mystery surrounding F.O.W.L and what exactly they're up to, so I'd disagree.
Finally someone like Foafy who talks about Ducktales...(BTW i'm a Ducktales fan)
Idk who Foafy is but the more people talking about DuckTales, the better.
Well, the mother's mystery is already solved, now the only mystery missing is the intentions that FOWL has ... things are not over yet.
By the way, I love Ducktales, I'm a big fan
What the heck, it shouldn't be "what's the next [insert show]." They're their own shows.
FINALLY. YOU TALKED ABOUT THE OWL HOUSE!!!
I know
TOH is probably my 2nd favorite Disney show.
Big City Greens: Am I a joke to you?!
Poor man's Loud House and/or second rate Craig of the Creek.
Thomas May How tho?
YES
Well those shows dont have a overarching story and there mostly for fun shows
Honestly, with all the big fantasy serialized shows, having something like Big City Greens feels like a necessity.
It's also hilarious, so there's that.
Also helps that Owl House is made by Alex Hirsch’s girlfriend
She also worked on Gravity Falls as a story board artist
That doesn’t make it the next gravity falls
You should check out "Infinity train" if you like this style of show
@@savai5022 Agreed
@@savai5022 c'mon, infinity train has it's own standard because it's so different and good. You can compare it to other shows
I just really hate that show
Savai I think they are mostly equal. But those are just my unwanted opinions
Infinity Train is just in another leaugue
Plot twist: After Bill Cipher's defeat he was reincarnated into King (that's why he's a demon from another dimension)
I think the real hype about TOH is the fact that it’s the first Disney cartoon to have open and canon LGBTQ representation, which we ALL love, as it shows us that they are becoming modern (even thought Dana Terrace had to fight for it)
yep
Dont pretty dumb si u only like a show cuz a charcter gay
@@apolloman1608 I like it because of king
Apollo man r/ihadastroke
Dana Terrace really had to fight for it? Interesting. Do you have any proof?
Disney in my opinion had 4 big hits using animation on Disney channel: Ducktales (1980s), Kim Possible(2000s), Phineas and Ferb and of course Gravity Falls.
My personal favourite is Kim Possible but I highly doubt kids in the 2010s would even know what this show was. In fact I’m going to rewatch it on Disney +
what about ducktales 2017 that's also a grate show
Kim Possible is pretty great! Coming from a late 2000-2010s kid.
Yeah, doubt they will be another, after Disney+.
All i have finished thoroughly, amazing shows all around. My personal favorite Phineas and Ferb, it was my entire childhood Gravity Falls is also amazing.
I think that duck tales has hype, but it’s very different. It’s more from Disney fans and not from outside and Disney fans like gravity falls.
I don’t understand why DuckTales isn’t more popular. Nobody ever talks about it, even though there’s so much to talk about. It’s way better than Amphibia or Owl House, but nobody cares.
I care Ducktales is AMAZING!!!!
Yas 👏

Sadly, I don’t think that anything could top Gravity Falls.
Avatar and Amphibia could.

finnaly someone talks about the owl house
[UPDATE]
Still love TOH!!! So happy it's doing SO MUCH right now. Personally I've changed and think that Amphibia is a bit better in my opinion. But I love both of these shows so so much.
Same
The owl house si good, really good but for me Amphibia is better i think it's underrated, it's a worthy hire of Gravity Falls
@@m.d.z3139 We all have opinions.
I respect yours. All in all... I am really liking how 2020's cartoons are turning out.
Np agreed if it gets cancelled theirs gonna be problems
I hope it doesn’t do what do the did with She-Ra, because they literally made all the characters LGBTQ which got annoying because i think there should be mix.
“The owl house is the only one that made me think woah what!”
True colors comes out
I honestly love Amphibia. I haven't watched the second season yet because of other shows, but I really love Anne and Sprig's dynamic.
Oh boy you haven’t seen season 2 yet? I believe the mid-season finale came out today and _oh boy_ season 2 is just absolutely one of the best things to ever air on television. _You need to watch season 2 as soon as possible_

Uff You have to see the season 2 soon, the last episodes were the best
Amphibia is criminally underrated and it needs all the support it can get, it deserves it.
Fun Fact: the show’s creator Matt Braly worked on ‘Northwest Mansion Mystery’ from GF and ‘Lars and the Cool Kids’ from SU
Owl House HYPE!!! Where my Owl house fans? That being said is amphibia on Disney+ or disney now? I'd like to watch it
Not really a fan show is kidna mid only thing keeping me intrested is the magic
Owl house fan here (ATLA reference). Amphibia is on Disney+ if I'm not mistaken but there's other ways to watch it, like Kim cartoon. It's pretty good.
@@apolloman1608 it has more stuff that make it great, the second best humor (amphibia has it better), interesting lore, great character relationships.
There is Literally a Gravity Falls cameo in Amphibia, and one of the Characters in The Owl House is voiced BY THE CREATOR OF GRAVITY FALLS (it's king if y'all are wondering, he literally sounds like a Calmer Bill Cipher.)
