Again Melissa is awesome. She'll always be Supergirl to me, she just acted out that character so well. One thing that's always confused me was how, in real life Melissa and Chris Wood had chemistry, Chris played Mon El in the show, but the show ends with Kara not ending with Mon El. It seemed like it just made sense for them to have a big romantic storyline in the last few seasons, and end with them being together. But instead, Kara's character was pushed to have an ambiguous/kind of romance with Lena Luthor. It never made sense to me. This resulted in a massive disagreement online for years between the audience that wanted Kara to be with Mon El, and the audience who wanted her to be with Lena. And then to have her be with no one. just never made sense. It was like, why even have a love story for her at all in the series to begin with then? In fact, Kara never even got to conclude her love story with Jimmy. Season one built it up. They finally got together at the end. And the first thing that happens in season 2 is they break up. And the writers shifted the romantic theme to focus on Kara's sisters love life. It was almost like the writers/director wasn't sure which audience to aim for. Which I think kind of took thunder away from Melissa's character to get a real solid focus on. Not just in romance, but as Supergirl being an alien. Which they touched on a tad, I just think they could have gone far deeper, which would have allowed Melissa opportunity to do even more. Melissa was fantastic on the show regardless. I wish they were making a film with her as Supergirl, with a fantastic writer and director. And gave her time to still also take care of her family. I'd watch that in a heart beat. Cheers to you Melissa, and your kids and husband. Cheers to you all!
Melissa appears human and sensitive. Supergirl also had a sensitive and good heart! All the best, dear Melissa!
She has a very good heart and a kindness that a lot of people may not have even for somebody treating her in such an awful way.
i am huge fan melissa benoist / Supergirl i think that she bring into custom of Supergirl and bring her back
Melissa is such a beautiful and insightful woman! Glad she shared her truth!
Not the biggest Supergirl fan, but I'm so happy for her that she was able to turn a tragedy into a triumph.
