Thanks for answering my question, spent last weekend running 0000 wiring for the amp/alt/grounds. Fortunately a high quality amp like the JP23 has voltage on the remote knob.
I just got in some temp prefabs to break in the subs while I build the real box. Should be bumping this weekend, shout-out to D4S for what are currently the best amps in the game

What's a good choice for a mid(6.5 or 8) for 60hz to 500hz? I have a sundown xv3 so I need my mids to play a little lower (60hz) and about 150 watts rms each.

I'd get 6.5 subs or 8's just because there aren't many true midrange or midbass speakers that'll play down to 60hz... I think my crossfire xt 6.5s play down to 70hz (i think) and that's yet to be seen. I'm going to get a little sub for the midbass. Just my 2 cents.

The crossfire xs 8's play down to 65hz... May be the way to go. I hope that helps.

I've never used a mids and highs amplifier before. How do I tune it after installing

Would two xs power d3400 and a 270 amp alternator be enough to power a jp23 with 2 sundown sa v2 12's?

1:38 same Question I have 2 l7 Solo X the newest ones total of 4000RMS being powered by 2 cxa1800.1 amps with each having 200A fuses and there connected to my Xs power d4800thats in the trunk with a 300A Fuse being powered by the same battery that’s located under the hood. With a 290A alternator all wire is 1/0 kicker OFC. I have charged them to 100% both and they still drop Voltage and then the bass. Starts sounding weak. Can anyone help me out here

I wondering if im good with a bigger alternator or a 2nd battery or do i need both. Im running 2- skar 600 rms 10s on a skar 1200 mono block, and a skar 500 w for mids & hi's. I have a brand new battery and a big 3 but my voltage drops like crazy. Thanks

Go with a alt and if you're going to do any more power than that get a 6.0 battery for the rear

I've heard that you need to be careful of frying your factory control modules on your car/truck once an upgraded alternator is installed, because of the extra amperage produced. Is there a way to ensure this doesn't happen? Besides hooking it up correctly with the proper big 3 wiring. Just as a reference, I have a 2013 nissan maxima that I plan on using 1/0 sky high tinned wires for power and ground. Any insight on this is appreciated.
Project build consists of about 4k watts of rms(true) power from some trustworthy amps(around 3k for subs, 1k for mids and highs)

I got a JP 95 and gonna run a epicenter micro. Will the JP 95 bass knob conflict with ARC-4 bass/effect knob if I run both knobs

Back in the day I use to run 3way and 4way 6x9s because they provided not just good quality sound, but they also had bass that was as efficient as a subwoofer. Today, I haven't seen or heard many 6.5s, 8s or 10s in coaxial speakers that can provide the midbass I am seeking. For instance, think of a stereo system that has great highs, mids and midbass that has enough frequencies so that the subwoofers are just an addition to the system. In that I could run my system at high volume, I would only need to turn my bass knob up for additional bass and not as the primary bass. What products would fulfill my idea of the perfect system?

I’m famous now I’ve made it to down4sound video lol but I’m definitely leaning to that JP23 since the amp I was going to put on my 12w7s is going on another build plus I want to support down4sound

Hey JP, I have a question I’m gonna be running 2 Skar audio SVR 12s in a skar audio ported enclosure. What amp do you recommend I put on those subs and not have to worry about upgrading alternator or doing any major upgrades to the electrical. This car will be my daily driver and I want to have some bang the car is a 2016 Toyota Corolla LE four-door sedan
