It is a floodwave of amazing Japanese music coming over us the last 10 years. I suspect there are so much over there that we aren't available to find...
Hagane are one of the up and comers in Japanese metal. Uyu has one of the nicest voices. Everyone knows how good Sakura is with her flying V, but I think Mayto gave a run for the money in this song. This song is a brand new single as is the song called Sin. There is a video for that one as well. Both are different from their earlier material. Wintry Sky was there first video and. Labradorite and Soul Beats followed. They are currently working on their first full album to be released early this year.
Thank you for featuring Hagane-one of the up and coming groups to take notice of! Vocal : Uyu Guitar : Sakura (also writes and arranges most of the music) Guitar : Mayto Bass : Sayaka Drum : Kanako Sakura Yoshida started posting metal covers on youtube when she was 14, and gained notoriety as a highly technical wizard on the instrument, with a taste for ferocious shredding. That is how most of the other band-members found her. They formed the band around the time they were all finishing high school. The songwriting is astonishingly mature, far beyond what you should be able to expect from a bunch of high-school kids. They have had two vocalists but appear to have a stable lineup now. They are clearly playing in a similar space as groups like Mary’s Blood, Nemophila and Lovebites-melodic but hard, heavy and technical. Another great one is “Soul Beats”: th-cam.com/video/k8NTRJ_yTxY/w-d-xo.html The rhythm line seamlessly melds rock and funk throughout. The guitar solo is classic jazz fusion, but with distortion. The heavy use of minor and diminished scales gives it a vaguely middle-eastern vibe, but jacked up to searing intensity. If they can keep putting out stuff this good, they are going to be huge.
This song really got me into Hagane, Wintry Sky is another good one from them. Also another great all female Japanese band to check out is Bridear. Their new song Brave New World Revisted is epic. Oh and their drummer is also amazing!
Agreed. Bridear is insane great band. "Brave New World Revisited" is a masterpiece. Their latest album "Aegis of Athena" is consistent and really good.
When it comes to drumming... well i love some Japanese ones. But i hold Gavin Harrison high. Well he has some great feel to it. Recommend checking out "Anesthetize" live from Tilburg. 17 mins of pure bliss! th-cam.com/video/iBfY86cktN0/w-d-xo.html
You should definitely check out Labradorite and Wintry Sky as well. Uyu, the vocalist, is actually in a Babymetal copycat band called Dizzymetal and she is probably the closest to Suzuka vocally I've come across. Uyu lacks the oomph that Su brings but otherwise Uyu is pretty spot on.
the mass of talent and studiousness over there in japan is unbelieveable. I have a recommendation for you: "a drop of joker - beat maker" th-cam.com/video/Qc68PkOYvOw/w-d-xo.html miyakos band before lovebites. she was their songwriter too. and I love this song, although it is not clickbait. but we know already, that the best music doesn´t have necessary the most clicks. so: private enjoyment/reaction? you decide. but I didn´t wanted you to miss this.

Hagane are super talented and very underrated. I love how hard they went with Supervillain. Labradorite is another great song from them.

Love this band. I think they are going to go far. THank you for reacting to this video.
Thanks for the nice reaction. Mind-blowing!😍Why does Japan keep producing so many talented musicians⁉️
These young ladies may well be the next Big Thing in Japanese All-female Metal. Sakura Yoshida (playing the flying V) is worth taking notice of. 🤘🔥
Hagane ❤️😍 love Reaction
Cool reaction.👌
They are still very young , but they aim high.
By the way... Hagane means steel.😎
