VOCALOID is a voice synthesizing program. It's like one of those "artifical voices" used by the mute. The voice samples come from real people who give voice samples, they are recorded, and made into a program. Users can then use the program to write songs and create videos like the ones on TH-cam. The characters are really more like "mascots" for each of the different voice programs available. Hope this helps.

Thanks; and about the picture, back when I did this I really didn't know vocaloid too well, which explains my mistake :) Plus they look evil enough, which is what I was aiming for when looking for a pic :)

for anyone who doesnt know, this song is apparently about 2 dolls (ren and lin) who get replaced by the kaito doll. they then come to life and capture her and take her to a house where they can keep them all for themselves.... kinda weird but thats what i hear in the lyrics and on the actual music video :3

I believe there are two versions: one by mika, and what I think is the original where a boy is lured into the woods and then into a castle, he is then kidnaped and played or toyed with, however, the trick at the end is where it is revealed that the boy was apparently their puppeteer, does that make sense? Sorry if it doesn't . ;P
this is from a japanese vocaloid thing its like these vocal synthisizers and shiz and they also have songs writen just for them so that way :D they have digital concerts

its not an anime its from a program called vocaloid. vocaloid is basically songs that have voices made from a computer program. its really awesome check it out.

It has not be proven that they are siblings (yes, I know in some songs they are shown as that, but no). They are merely mirror images of each other, hense their last night "Kagamine", Kagami - mirror. VOCALOID's don't necessarily have their own personality, too. The type of song they sing/or show up in pretty much gives them their own personality, background, ECT.
