Mowing the turf everyday is not just about "getting the lines to pop," it has much more to do with putting down a CONSISTENT PLAYING SURFACE that is EXACTLY THE SAME from one day to the next. It also has to do with the fact that - as you said - YOU CANNOT HAVE ANY MISTAKES. Allowing the turf to grow too long without mowing would result in scalping, which would lead to not only poorer playing conditions, but also something that was not very visually appealing.

The better stadiums don’t use grass catchers and never will. When you mow every day and that short you don’t need them. Unless you let it grow for a long time and let it get tall.

As a previous Brewer Grounds Crew worker... This episode is terrible. You should have had him run a scrape during a game like the fox sports guy did with us.... and chatted with richie sexon.
