Great video. I'm only just getting into Black Powder now and am really excited to see these smaller scale minis. I loved Warmaster and how the troops were moulded like this, so am digging this idea a lot. I really hope that Warlord follow this scale up with a range of Napoleonic figures. I just bought the Waterloo starter set to get me into the game and am painting up the 28mm figures, but have also ordered some 6mm Naps. Hm, maybe I have a problem. ;)
Possibly not an issue at this scale but strictly speaking as far as I am aware these are a bit generic. Too many slouch hats for Union, too many forage caps for Confederates. Shell jackets and tunics also not really differentiated. Figures are great though as sculpts and as a concept.
I listened to an interview with Warlord's head of North American business who said individual figures, like skirmishers, cavalry, etc., will be done in metal. I can't find the source right now, but that's what I heard.
@@dmwiggy7661 Yes. It's one generic spure, with a mix of kepi and slouch hats. It's a "good enough" approach, but for the price it's hard to complain. I painted up 2 strips, one in Confederate and another Union uniforms, so you can see how they look. th-cam.com/video/e28316C7S4g/w-d-xo.html
Excellent review. Close - order figures at last.

Thanks for the sub! I'll have a follow up video comparing how different primers affect the final paint job.

How will they do skirmishes, I wonder?

I assume the Union and Confederate are the same sprues.
