I find it harder in the sim to be honest... Being restricted to shit quality mirrors with no control of your head position makes for a hard time backing up dubbles
Once you understand the relationship between the rear trailer and the bottom of the steering wheel, backing in a coaxial is usually pretty simple. That is also if you have the room to do so.
Can you tell me the relationship between the rear trailer and the steering wheel? I can't see the relationship from the video. Someone says if you turn the steering wheel right, the rear trailer of double link will drift to the same direction. I just can't see this pattern...
@@davecheung6957 This happens basically because your first trailer is going to naturally go in the opposite direction of the steering wheel while in reverse and the first trailer is technically driving the second trailer. So in short, your second trailer tracks the same way your tractor would. Now, if you go too far into your jacknife with the first trailer, it'll completely ignore the relation. Having a proper setup and understanding the reference points are key to success.

Lucía mostly not , they park one at the side , put the other at the loading Dock , hitch the other on and put him on another Docking bay ... although i saw some German drivers do it , it’s possible to do it but it is very very difficult .Mostly it’s done like i described it ... and theres a difference of doing it with a Dolly or a double with two fixed axl’s . Fixed axl’s are much easier to do it with ...then also you need to facture weight into it , if it’s empty it Will stray off easely , if it’s loaded , it Will take more time to turn ...
Onice you understand Its quite simple :D If you want trailer to go left turn the steering wheel to the right - if you want the trailer to go right turn the wheel to left :D always turn the steering wheel opposite the trailer while backing . Straighten the steering wheel if you need the trailer to keep the current angle :D good luck !
I will say this, from my own experience between ETS2 and ATS......reversing is generally easier in ETS2 than in ATS. ATS there is either a lot less room to manoeuvre properly, or obstacles that force you to reverse a certain way, around a corner etc.
Just imagine your back of first trailer is your truck when u doing backward with semi ... double or b-double is the same. For HCT dolly is your truck. Think of it and try again it is not hard as it looks like
Ican do anything? But you are parking by using camera view outside of the truck?? I will commend you if you can park double trailers while inside the truck cab like a real truck driver.
@Deacon use all the available space to get the trailers positioned correctly before you start reversing. Do small movements and use the first trailer to steer the second. If you over correct that’s when both trailers turn too sharp like the guy in the video was doing. Small corrections are key. Takes time and practice to be able to do it without trouble. I know not everyone finds it easy, but the more you do it the easier it gets.
My hat is off to real truckers everywhere who do this every day. For me, even in a sim, this is hard as hell...

Next step: 1st person, only by mirrors, like a real trucker, plus realistic brakes system. Then it's worth an upload.
I may use more than 10 years to do it 1st person with double trailers.
Do real truckers actually back up with the articulates trailers?

Me trying to park my bicycle.
1.8k hours on this game and i just found out that you can park double trailers in revers... now i'll have some fun parking doubles in VR :D
Did you do it?
Yes.
What did it cost?
.. more time spent in the lot than on the road
I didn’t even have a truck with 2 trailers and I gave up parking after attempting for 15minutes
I can't even park a normal trailer. When I do I need twenty minutes 😂🙄😑 So my respect. You did a very good job.
Now try in real life with no third person
Same with me🤣🤣🤣

Good job there mate. That looked a difficult one. I havent tried a double trailer yet. Hands down well. You got there...👌

Now do it in first person
Is it in play store
If u do like this in real life
There will be more people watching u than football stadium
And other drivers will become angry
You should park the trailer while inside the cab view not outside the cab view..
What's with this third-person viewpoint?
Just press 1 2 3 4 5 to change viewpoint.
Too many axles on your truck btw it should be easier whit like 3axles and taglift
gj you would do better with shorter chassis like 4x2 or 6x2 taglift with rear axle lifted
So nice
