I’ve experienced a friend of mine who grew up in a wealthy family trying to make me feel shamed from coming from a family that uses government assistance and that I use support programs like financial aid when their parents paid for their schooling. And that I have to use loans and credit cards. I need to see that as another form of support for myself even if it didn’t come from the same level of assistance or source that they had it’s still some level of support that I shouldn’t feel guilty to use

I chose pile number one and it really helped me. I've felt led to start my journey of becoming a doctor this past year (been taking my pre reqs this past year in college).
