SS Moyie Tour with Pete Coates, Kaslo, 1995

In 1995, former SS Moyie and SS Minto crew member Pete Coates (1927-2006) of Nakusp took Milton Parent of the Arrow Lakes Historical Society on an extensive tour of the SS Moyie.
The oldest intact paddlewheeler in the world, the Moyie plied the waters of Kootenay Lake from 1898 to 1957. Now operated by the Kootenay Lake Historical Society as a museum on the Kaslo waterfront, the Moyie was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1958.
