Boat Broke Down Again - Did It Ruin My Vacation?

A yearly trip I take to the Island takes a kick between the legs when my boat decided it didn't want play nice and broke down. Leaving me without a boat for the week. Can I salvage something and test my shoreline fishing skills or toss in the towel?
Maybe I should have taken the $10,000 a stranger offered me from the bridge??? Seriously. That actually happened.
