Vande Mataram composed by Bankim Chandra Chaterjee, set to Desh Raga, is an ode to the Mother land. The poet describes beautifully the grandeur of this ancient land. Mother, who is above everything, beautiful, with divine voice, I salute and bow to Thee.
I have included a few steps of various Indian classical dance forms like Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi and Kathak along with Bharatanatyam in the Desh Thillana.
