Awesome that's my Christmas present to me sorted then 😂
@@3moonsrising836 😂👍🏼
Thats a standard stalk that has been modified... nice.. I wonder what kind of microswitches they used. What you need is momentary switches (NO).
@@haraldpost yes these are standard stalks that we modify with the switches.
It took a long time to find and try lots of different switches to see which worked the best and in different positions on the stalk.
😎👍🏼
Can it also be installed on my car if it is vr6 2.8l?
Looking forward to getting you to fit mine 👍
🙌🏼
I am troubleshooting my (DIY) cruise. As far as I can tell from group 006 my pedal switches are working fine. Do you know if the two 1's from the brake pedal have to appear at the *same time* as in this vid?
@@haraldpost some vans show differently which is down to age I think. Have you got a bonnet switch on your van (top left corner as you look under the bonnet (drivers side)
@@VWT4CruiseControl_Yes it did, 2003 model. But I removed the bonnet switch as I thought it belonged to an old defective alarm unit that I have removed completely.
@@haraldpost put it back on or join the wires together. Currently the van thinks the bonnet is open and won’t allow the CC to set.
@@VWT4CruiseControl_ thanks. I tried shorting the bonnet switch wires together, but no luck. I am beginning to suspect a faulty wire.. I did recently have to lay a new wire from 109 relay to the ECU.. Perhaps there are more faulty wires in the engine loom. I'll have to print the schematics and do some measuring.
what is the lead called and where can i purchase the software
Just installing on my 2000 2.5tdi 88hp all seems good but when looking at measuring blocks, the clutch associated 1's are constantly there. Brake affects it as expected as does the cruise control. I assume this is a broken clutch switch?
Hi, I’m so sorry for the late reply.
Yes that would point to a faulty clutch switch. It is possible to reset them I have found, you need to take the switch out from the clutch mount then pull the plunger out and you will hear a click. Then put the switch back in with the clutch pushed down and then let the clutch come back up. Hopefully that will work and you won’t need to get another one.
Regards
Mark
@@VWT4CruiseControl_ No problem, I have just bridged the clutch switch to make it see it as constantly closed. Worked a treat and have been using the cruise control, its brilliant, thanks. New clutch switch ordered and will be replaced. Thanks again.
Do the sofware need to be registed to work? Login don´t work for me.
No you can just download VCDS lite and you don’t have to register it and you can program it with that version 🙂👍🏼
Late answer, I have already bought the license. It still dont work. Maybe wrong engine.

Hi I have a 1995 2.5 T4 automatic will it work on my van
Hi David, thank you for your message.
Unfortunately it’s only compatible with the 1996 model to 2003.
Always worth a try with the rev/brake test in the video and have a look for the plug in case I am mistaken.
