it's funny Rog's has always been super encouraging... Even way back in the day growing up at Something Else, I would see Rog watching the different skaters and just kinda had an admiring persona about him; it's a rare trait.
Kelly: "Skateboarding is always takin' a turn" C Rob:"It's turnin' so much I don't know where it's going anymore" Stevie: "Hopefully it takes a U-Turn" Wise words! You guys are killin' these episodes! Keep em rollin!
I met Stevie at the Chocolate Tour Premiere on a rainy night in Auckland, New Zealand in 1999. I was tripping the fuck out off some serious personal family upheaval but Stevie still gave me some DC stickers as I went in and it was a good experience in a bad time. Thank you Stevie. The video was amazing, that switch heel manny fakie hardflip was a poetic moment.
Imagine telling someone like Stevie Williams to prove himself. I love watching these older interviews and appreciating the wisdom of people that I looked up to as a child-presently. People constantly underestimate the potential of Skateboarders.❤
i skated love park back when stevie first was coming around. he was a little kid who was alot of fun. he was maybe hyper but he really wasn't a trouble maker and i saw him all the time. mostly he was just a happy kid stoked on skating. back then love park was not a bust at all. this is before the ledges were even waxed. before there were any pictures in magazines of skating in love park. for years. yes stevie was a little wild but he was really a good kid. he had fun energy back then and its been rad to see him go so far in skateboarding. back then i was skating for soultrip and love park was 30 minutes from my house in delaware so i went all the time. and when stevie grew up a little and got good, man oh man he ripped. those early days were some fun times. r.i.p. love park
I am the worlds BIGGEST Stevie Williams fan! I grew up in Pa idolizing him and Khalis skating Love and have just always loved every thing that yall do.. from Kayo to Dgk I buy yalls shit still to this day and will forever rep Stevie as the best thats my homie!! Most stylish skater I ever seen.. Good lookin out 9 Club thanks for gettin the Og on here for us!!... I even moved to Atlanta half way through my life and still repped Stevie down there so I find it Ironic that he is now living out of Atl now... Biggest Fan keep it up we love it!!
Kinda surprised it didn't happen while he was there for the THPS reboot sesh@ the berrics. Reemo already said on The Ghetto Bird podcast that he's down like a cadillac w 4 flats to do the nine. Idk what the hold up is cuz these guys will all fanboy out on Kareem.
This dude is an absolute scholar! The second time I met him was at "DA PLAYGROUND" and my civic threw a cel light... I was like "I need a Bobby pin! " dude went in his office and we dug around and he found me a paper clip- yo! This is an everyday will bullshit with you as a human! After dude gave me a shirt! Had many of times after shredding the playground- I'm super stoked to have had those memories! Even giving rasul! Rides home after! Bullshitting about hip hop! GOOD PEOPLE! #invazioncrew! #budice!
Damn, Stevie really killed The Nine Club with all this real talk. Game, the industry and all that he's been through he could do some sort of lecturing for up and coming industry profiles. Still doing a great job guys! Thanks again and again for every week!
Props....only episode I've watched and i really enjoyed being able to watch this interview. Always loved watching Stevie skate and im really happy i gave this show a try.
You guys are killing it! Your last two guests were amazing and have really taken the show to the next level! Keep it up! This show is inspirational in too many ways!
Didnt know much about Stevie before this interview, I just knew that he was awesome, this episode really gave me reasons to believe that hes the coolest, thank you guys
already my favorite thing on youtube.. you guys are giving one amazing perspective about skateboarding to the world.. much respect! all day nine club on the background while working..
like how stevie keeps it real and say straight out that he only seen one episode of the nine club, not saying the other guest are lying but i don't think all of them seem like the spoke the truth when they say they seen the show.
Stevie is a crazy dope person!!! This podcast...came across it few months ago, UNBELIEVABLE guys...I laugh n cry n have an AMAZING time every episode I see, especially seeing my child hood heroes on here....
someone needs to make a youtube channel that documents the history of legendary skate spots. LOVE park, the pit @ Venice, brooklyn banks. i'd pay to see that
That is SO TIGHT to listen to stories like this! I come from central Europe so obviously I know NOTHING about this kind of neighbourhood he grew up in... And man! Mad RESPECT for Stevie! I always looked up to him, especialy when I was younger (and I saw that 3 trick line for Chocolate with that HUUUUGE sw heelflip!!!! :O) but now hearing the whole story behind his career! That's something! And I'm only 30 minutes in the video!!!! Can't wait to hear more :-D THANK YOU NINE CLUB!!!!!
met him the frist time at the cypress empty lot. He wanted me and my friend to get him his pack of cigarettes from his suv. When he gave the keys to us to open his car. Me and my friend look at each other and back at him. For that sec i bet he was thinking we might try to jack his stuff but in all honesty...we knew who he was and respected what he has done. Either way it was a epic experience.
Super sick, i watch these everymorning. Lets get a devine episode! Just saw chris wanted to see a devine crail couch back in the day he would be a dope one. Keep killing it
Ok.. So im midway thru this video. And i decide to comment this. "Thank you Chris Roberts and Mr.Rogers and also kelly and whomever had any kind of connection in creating these interviews with these vedy well respected, wonderful, and excellent pro skaters. Thank you guys so much. It feels so right seeing how familiar we are even though we are on different parts of this planet, yet we still skate and feel skating as if its a personal connection to our own emotions.
Always vibed with Stevie Williams and was gravitated towards him growing up. Him, Jason Lee and Lizard King were the people I looked up to for what ever reason. All had different styles and scenes but resonated with me.
Fred Gall was the shit. His parts in the 411 Philly section and Sub Zero video were SO sick. It was also the first time I’d seen blatantly drunk skating. 😆 Totally got me to rock my Half-Cabs with the tongue sticking way out.
I just want someone to look at me the way Roger looks at Stevie
this comment cracked me up so damn hard hahahaa
Fucking LOL!
like a cho mo looking at kid
it's funny Rog's has always been super encouraging... Even way back in the day growing up at Something Else, I would see Rog watching the different skaters and just kinda had an admiring persona about him; it's a rare trait.
Nigga you gay.
I love when Kelly pushes the button when he laughs just so that we know he's laughing!! Kelly's the man!! \m/
I've never thought about that but he totally does do that! lol He is definitely the man
I love Kelly. Dude is dope
Kelly: "Skateboarding is always takin' a turn"
C Rob:"It's turnin' so much I don't know where it's going anymore"
Stevie: "Hopefully it takes a U-Turn"
Wise words!

I remember in Baker 3 when he gave a shout out to Dustin Dollin, that was so rad, like 2 worlds colliding.
@RapedByRepublicansII Stevie’s style is sick. His part in the chocolate video.
The skateboarding brotherhood is like no other. A outlet/activity for all, connecting people from all aspect of life to a common interest/struggle.
I'm loving these longer episodes!!
phinskates beats a Pudwill 18 min 9 club
Stevie said gleaming the cube. Dude is my new hero.
Love that there is finally a decent skateboarding podcast.
I've now got hours of something to listen whilst I work, love it!
Imagine telling someone like Stevie Williams to prove himself. I love watching these older interviews and appreciating the wisdom of people that I looked up to as a child-presently. People constantly underestimate the potential of Skateboarders.❤
I was thinking the same thing, I'm like does this guy not know who he is???
i skated love park back when stevie first was coming around. he was a little kid who was alot of fun. he was maybe hyper but he really wasn't a trouble maker and i saw him all the time. mostly he was just a happy kid stoked on skating. back then love park was not a bust at all. this is before the ledges were even waxed. before there were any pictures in magazines of skating in love park. for years. yes stevie was a little wild but he was really a good kid. he had fun energy back then and its been rad to see him go so far in skateboarding. back then i was skating for soultrip and love park was 30 minutes from my house in delaware so i went all the time. and when stevie grew up a little and got good, man oh man he ripped. those early days were some fun times. r.i.p. love park

I can relate to this growing up a black skater in the early 2000s
😂😂😂 thought the same thing hahahah
@@Rand_al_Thor372so funny Kelly acted like he never witnessed racism before 😂
JUST when you think the Nine Club can't get any better, Stevie Williams! Outstanding again, Chris, Roge & K-Hart.
Much love + respect!

I like the story about big Sean and even though he’s dead, his story still lives on through Stevie and this interview or whenever he tells this story.

This went by really fast man !! Good job
I’m from Atlanta skated there in the 80’s and 90’s great spots and of course TK and the ramp ranch back then also little five points where I grew up
Fred Gall was the shit. His parts in the 411 Philly section and Sub Zero video were SO sick. It was also the first time I’d seen blatantly drunk skating. 😆 Totally got me to rock my Half-Cabs with the tongue sticking way out.
This just made my goddamn day. Thanks fellas!
Thank you. Stevie motivates.
"He showed up with the umbrella" 💀💀

I ❤️ Stevie. I admire him for keeping his word to RH N MC. MJ walking in the room with n umbrella haha Awesome interview.
Ok ok ok guys I subscribed ! You can thank Stevie!
Rick & Mike episode would be amazing....
They would have to do at least 3 episodes or have a 3 hour show for them.
Gary Martin three 3 hour shows
Stevie and Jeremy Wray are my 2 fav old school mind benders. Rad.
