I love Star Man! His design, his stage, and ofc his MUSIC, they're really really good. This song is another one of those songs like Ring Man's theme that are kinda disliked. I think this one isn't as hated as Ring Man because it's somewhat comprehensible, but it is weird af for a Mega Man song. Anyway consider this the sequel to my Ring Man cover, except this one is way better I think. 5 whole minutes of Star Man-related chiptune!!
I actually started this cover allll the way back in August, and somehow it's been sitting in my "currently working on" folder that whole time, despite being taking multiple-month breaks for lack of inspiration. But the other day I realized that what it NEEDED to get finished was a sudden shift into the David Bowie song of the same name!! At which point everything else clicked and I ended up with something I LOVE. Lots of stuff I find really unique and cool here so I hope you like it :D
Also, some of the N163 chord rhythms reference another familiar "Starman" song, see if you can spot that :)

This cover is all over the place...and I LOVE IT for that! Normally, I'm not TOO big on music that shifts tone, key, tempo, whatever so frequently, but this piece manages to do that VERY well, each part feeling unique yet also coherent at the same time. HOW DO YOU DO IT? Also really like the parts with the Triangle channel and those chirps (for a lack of a better term) that temporarily give the cover a genuine sense of traveling the stars.

That's awesome! Those triangle arpeggios are incredible, the notes flow together really nicely, and the creative ideas are excellent! Very good stuff, I should try out some of these techniques in my covers.

I tried out 0cc famitacker for a little bit, but I gave up because I couldn't adjust the microscopic Ui or import my settings from the normal version. Didn't feel like dealing with that at the time.
Fun fact: Star Man is incredibly gay. Like, absurdly homosexual. He likes men to quite the tomfoolerus degree. Perhaps, even a floptoferus amount of enjoying men. You might be able to say that he has a flinkledifferouscositoritly high amount of enjoyment for male beings.

Although I've never played Mega Man, i find this a pretty interesting song to listen to. I like the time changes, and the build-ups are satisfying to listen to, probably for reasons I'm not listing (I don't think I'm qualified to give music critiques tbh). But it's really good!
