How’s the disc golf scene in GR?
@@johnnydarter its great! Quite a few courses in gr and a bunch in short driving distance.
@@brucewayne3048 which DGCs in the area would you recommend? I’m not local but find myself in GR once in a while
@@johnnydarter riverside, Johnson, and brewer park are great courses. If you like a shorter putter/ midrange course, I would try old farm dgc. But there are so many more if you're willing to drive a half hour. Fallasburg dgc in Lowell and Hammond Hill dgc in Hastings are two of my favorites.
@@johnnydarter You can't go wrong with most of the courses (except Heritage- 9-hole putter/warm-up course). Bruce nailed the selections, so I may as well add my two cents. The bigger ones: Riverside (north GR) and Brewer (south GR). Fun mid-level courses: JC (east GR) or Johnson (west GR). Willing to go about 30 minutes: Fallasburg (east of GR), Hammond Hill (south east of GR), Shore Acres (west of GR). There are many others and they all are pretty solid courses.
Great Lakes Disc is a good DG shop too. Great selection of new, limited edition, and used discs and gear. Like a backyard BBQ with all the fixings (and no, this isn't a paid endorsement LOL).

@@OldManTomJulio He fits in so well with being at DM. I am so surprised Simon said he had never played a round with him. He is going to be a great player. Only one of 2 at the moment at the US champs who has had x 3 rounds in the 50's

Just go with less stable discs instead of stable discs in lower weights.
