The talk focuses on the objection of feminists in Islam because of: polygamy, Islamic inheritance law, dress codes, women’s freedom in elections, and I believe gender equality.
1.Polygamy is beneficial for women: Many women suffer from problems with infertility or illness and are unable to provide for their husband’s needs, whether physical or to have children. Polygamy helps the first wives to keep their husbands, as well as an opportunity for the second wife to obtain a husband, and the interests of the three people are achieved. Many things can be provided. There are various examples of the benefits of polygamy for women, but men will certainly suffer from greater responsibilities in polygamy, such as financial support, justice between wives, etc.
    2. Inheritance: The rules of inheritance are related to many things, such as gender, kinship, and the number of individuals of each gender. Therefore, women get a larger share than men in different situations. But what feminists ignore is that the inheritance that men take is a legal duty to be spent on his women, his wife, his mother, his daughter, etc. .
While the inheritance that a woman receives is her right only, and there is no law that obligates the wife to support her husband or her relatives. On the contrary, support is for men only.
    3. The Islamic dress code is for the benefit of women, to protect them from rapists and harassers of women, or those who pursue women to seduce them with false marriage promises, then exploit them physically and then say, “I am not thinking about marriage now.” Therefore, a woman’s body, clothes, perfume, and hair are among the things that naturally arouse a man’s instinct for a woman.
Therefore, men will love to have a relationship with her, so he may try to exploit her or flirt with her to get a romantic date, but it is not a romantic date, but a date only to relieve his lust.
While in Sharia law, modest clothing, such as a seat belt for a woman, will not attract the attention of foreign men so that they will not harm her. It will also give a signal to men that the woman is respectable and deserves to be his future wife because she does not try to draw the attention of foreign men to her.
    4. There is no concept of gender equality in family law: because women have greater care rights commensurate with the nature of their gender, and men have greater responsibilities according to their physical nature and strength of character.
However, according to the penal laws, everyone is punished with the same punishment, because they are both sane and will be punished for their actions in accordance with Islamic law.
    5. Regarding women’s voting in elections: There is no concept in Sharia of democratic elections in the West, but the king or president is often chosen from people of opinion who are close to the government and know the best people to head the government.
The issue of collective elections is a way to manipulate people's minds with false promises or to provide them with desires and money, and not for the sake of preserving morals and protecting society from money thieves in gambling clubs, usurious banks, etc.
    6. The ban on women driving cars was due to the nature of social, cultural and security life, because no father or husband would make his wife drive a car in desert areas without protecting his family members, as well as the changing social circumstances in the inability of many men to serve their wives with the increase in the number of female employees. Therefore, the workplace of the husband and wife was very far apart. Likewise, the fatwas of some Muslim scholars stated that a woman driving a car was safer for her than riding alone with a foreign driver.
Therefore, approval has been issued for women to drive cars now, while achieving great interests for the Saudi family and women.

The funny thing is, Islamic sharia regarding marriage used to be the thing christians would rebuke islam for in the medieval ages. The complaint then was that women had rights and could appeal for divorce etc, meaning Islam was too liberal in their point of view. But today you see Islamic sharia for marriage and women being criticized by the same society for the exact opposite reason, that Islam is too conservative.

As a convert I am even more accepting of polygamy than some women who were born Muslims and got brainwashed by the western idea of what a marriage should be. I love my muslims sisters and I would prefer sharing a good husband with one of them than seeing them or me ending up with a bad husband. If I had a husband who didn’t treat me correctly then I wouldn’t want him to get a second wife just because I don’t want my sisters in Islam to go through what I am going through. If all the good man had more than one wife and women would accept it, life would be easier. I feel bad for some muslims women that never got married, all of them should be able to have a good husband and a family.

On heritance, one of the reason the daughter would get half of her brother:
Husband has to provide for his wife. All her essential needs are taken care of. House bills, food, etc all has to be provided by him. Even if she were to work, she gets to keep 100% of her salary for herself. Husband can not force her to provide as well. Ofc, a marriage means to also compromise. If the husband is struggling, out of the goodness of her heart, she can also take care of the family.
Since in life, the man has more financial stress and burden on his shoulders, The Creator of the Worlds, ordered for the son to get twice as much as the daughter.
Say a woman gets 10k and the son gets 20k: the son will share the 20k with his wife and kids. The woman gets to keep her 10K.
There are more laws as regarding the wife when the husband dies, mother and sister..but I just gave an example between a daughter and son.

الآية واضحة جدا بأنه لايجب التعدد الا بالضرورة القصوى فقط ويفضل دائما الزواج بواحدة فقط لتحقيق العدل.

many men died during wars and many womens with the children are left without their partner this one of many reasons islam has allowed to have more than one wife so would you prefer to be a second wife or not marry at all ?, you can only marry a second wife or third if you are able to maintain equal lifestyle and financial stability, example if you bought one your wifes home or car other wifes should have similar things not more or less, and it goes beyond it not just about finances but also with love and spending equal time with your wifes, and many more.

As a Muslim woman, it took me some time to accept the idea of polygamy. I realized what really stops us from accepting it is the Western ideology about love. The Western world portrays love like a fairy tale. That kind of love does not even work in their own culture thus almost 50% end up divorces and that is if your relationship even made it to marriage. Now I'm working on absorbing what love really means with respect to fulfilling my deen.

He hasn't answered the polygamy correctly. The full answer in Islam is “If he marries a 2nd wife he needs to treat them both fairly, he cannot have a favourite. If he does injustice to one wife then on the day of judgment the husband's whole body will be bent. So one wife is better.
I've had this discussion with my husband and he said he will never marry a second wife. I'm enough for him Alhumdulliah for a beautiful person like my husband ❤

Quite frankly, the men who exercise polygamy in Muslim countries are an overwhelming minority because there are so many pre-requisites to satisfy such as the ability to be fair, being able to afford two or more families, no to mention having the energy. Polygamy is more of a situational flexibility than a right that can be exercised. From war widowers, to an imbalance in male to female population ratio and women having their rights safeguarded through matrimony. It solves more problems than it creates

I am a muslim living in the middle east, if i get married i will write in my contract that: my husband is more than welcome to marry again another woman but, divorce me first.
If you want someone else go ahead be my guest but divorce me first. Its not coming from ego or anything, i cannot handle it emotionally and its not forbidden in my religion and i have the right as well.
If as a woman i am not given this choice in Islam, i wouldn't be a Muslim

Telling him to divorce you will make him look bad. At the same time, you are opening the door for him to easily divorce you also.
If he ever decides to marry a widow, or an orphan, or a divorcee for example, try to remain in the relationship. If after a while, you cant handle it, then ask for the divorce.
Btw in divorce, I think the wife gets nothing - properties etc are his if he paid for. It s not like in the west where it is 50/50 even if the man paid for everything.

There is hadith where prophet Muhammad said when man marry, he complete half of his deen. By this because man should be content, mature and reliable enough to be marry a women. That kind of man will be provide enough things that would make his wife happy and their family. Polygamy is pemissable but not necessary, because that would be near impossible to do so. If a man couldnt give what supposingly he give then he will be unfair to his wives. Then he will be the bad husband.

As a muslim teenage girl who learned about islam after years of just ringing around thinking which religion is righteous and i always wondered Why islam asks women to cover herself up but obliges men to cover up only from a navel to knee which is very important that,a man can not show it to the other man, So I started noticing the fact that When a woman passes from a street where group of boys stand & no matter how respectful they are in general but atleast once in their lives they do say something No one would ever want to hear and men & women both have different perspectives when a woman talks about a random guy even if he is not that good looking,it is always different than what men usually talk about a woman either she is ugly or not and this is true that it is the fault of men not her & that's why islam prohobited men to look at women and look down when a women is passing by no matter what her age is and no matter what she is wearing either it is burqa or shorts, And also western community has made the womenhood look like it is only about the way her thighs look or her body type or her breast, this is so desrespectful but women themselves never realise it,Overall as much as I know is that We muslims who have basic knowledge of islam we view objectificlation completely different then west does.

You should watch the movie The Message, where you can understand that women before the advent of Islam were worthless and humiliated, and with the advent of Islam they had many rights. Islam supported women and treated them as a person of high value. The Islamic countries in which women are humiliated are countries that preferred to apply outdated traditions as well as Islam, for example, Tunisia, a Muslim country in North Africa, has the second most important group of female scholars in the world, and the percentage of female judges and doctors is higher than the percentage of men. I hope you watch the stories of the daughters of our Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of God, and you will truly know that Islam honors women

God is certainly the All knowledgable!! And his Shariah or Divine legislation works in all times places and circumstances. Just think about it guys!! In times of wars and conflicts when the majority of men go to defend their lands Which often can result in females out numbering males who gonna take care of the left over women?? How society gonna assures its survival?? Hence we muslims take our morality from the Creator's infallible divine objective source not from the creation subjective one Which keeps changing with whims and desires. And human history is the best witness to it.

In Pakistan Men can marry more than one women but losses his respect in family as children grow older. So marrying more than one is just not good for Men in long run. Hijab other other hand liberates women from all the fashion industry and she can out make-up when it's necessary.

Like a sign... what i believe is in Islam there is "female prophet" -Prhophet: person who talked with the angel gabriel - in Quran it is directly wirtten that mariem talked with gabriel.I believe that women are way more precious than the men think in İslam ...

I am not a Muslim scholar rather a Muslim born in a Muslim family in a Muslim nation, so I might not be able to explain every nooks and crannies about it. But about polygamy, in islam, if you have multiple wives, you have to treat them equally. If you can't, you will be confronted by Allah for your irrational and unjust actions, words and every other things you share with those women. Now, how many polygamy can we see in this society that has this character?
In fact, the wives(RAA) of our prophet Muhammad (sm) used to think about each of them that individually, she was the most beloved to him(sm). That is the condition and ideals that a man in polygamy should have accordingly to be a true Muslim. If you can't fullfil this, don't take a second wife. Because, in almost every case, the newest partner is the most beloved due to physical and other reasons. So, better to stick to one.

When talking about marrying more than one wife in Islam, not every one understands there are certain rules a man has to follow. Firstly, he has to be able to afford it. If he can't, then the answer is no he can't have more than one wife. Why? Because it's his job as the man to financially support and maintain the wife and kids. If he can support more than one, then he also has to be fair to each wife. This means what he gives one wife, he's gotta give the other. The only difference is if one wife has more kids or if someone has health problems, then it may be more time and money has to go to that house (but not bc he wants it that way, it's bc of a reason). Those are the main points. As said, if a man can't afford multiple wives, no. If he can't be fair, again no.
But from a woman's perspective, think of it this way:
You know where he is: if he isn't at work, he's either with you or her. If he has kids with her, it isn't hidden. He's not fooling around getting all kinds of diseases to bring home. It's up front and open, not hidden so there aren't any lies. It keeps the trust between husband and wife.

the thing to polygamy in islam that it is also conditioned by being equal and fair to the women like even to the samllest details like if u took one out to get icecream u should take ur other wife also to get icecream. also the thing i think shiekh mohamed skipped while talking about that women having the same rights as men except men has one better is by that men is responsible for any payment needed by the family. islam just wants the family to function in the right direction.

Polygamy in Islam has conditions and reasons The Quran says of the conditions is pluralism Justice in dealing with everything If you can't, then only one, otherwise it is considered a sin Anyway, polygamy is permitted by God because of the nature of the man so that he does not commit adultery or betray his wife and because of life circumstances Maybe in case of wars men die and women are widowed and children are orphaned and this is the main reason then men must take care of those women and their children as the Prophet did

I was also in tention when heard God Allah allowed more than one wife and it's not a sin if u married more than one but all wives must be happy and getting your perfect focus otherwise if u neglect any one than Allah has worst punish to him ,so think this before getting more than one wife . But if wife wanna leave him she can if she think she has no value after another wife 😢, this is different aspect, may be first wife is so cruel and harsh with him so he want another wife but can't leave first one without her choice 😮.
