Guys i LOVE your dedication to these resurrections and projects.
I’ve collected some 126 cartidges and film camera’s.
They’re coming your way shortly from The Netherlands 👌🏼

I’m SO impressed that you were able to create some kind of jig or contraption that cuts 120 to width and accurately perfs the film. I’d love to see a video of that setup and hear the backstory of the blood, sweat, tears and wasted 120 rolls it took to perfect this! Well done FPP!!
My variation on loading is to temporarily tape the “start end” of the paper onto the table (some are suggesting clothes pin) just to keep it well behaved while I’m rolling it.
ALSO-the rolled up film placed into the well will want to pop open and unroll itself. What I do is have a plastic credit card ready when that tight roll is placed into the well, and quickly slip the short end over the well against the roll to keep it from unwinding. Then bring the top of the cartridge down and pinch that credit card in between the two halves continuing to hold the roll tight. Then slip that card out all at once and let the top half click into place around that roll. You’ll hear it unwind inside the well but it will be nice and snug in there.

Michael, you have the patience of Job; dealing with that backing paper would have made me give up in frustration.

I got the film sweats watching this. Can't imagine doing this in total darkness- I'd need night vision goggles!

I think I would add a clothes pin as a tool in that process. But so exciting!

7:18 I need a video loop of John saying "Number One" behind the glass to repeat over and over and over....

I have a Minolta 126 camera that doesn't work with the fakmatic. If I load an old cartridge with this film it should work, right?

Consider trying our new perforated film with the Fakmatic. Should work. If not, your Plan B will work. - Mike

I recently got a Kodak Bantam camera that takes 828 type film. From what I can see, it looks like using the same type of film as 126 (but without the cartridge and more like shooting with a roll of 120 or 127) should work in that camera. If that's true, this will help me shoot with that camera. Thanks!

Some 828 cameras take unperforated film while others are perforated. I don't think that the 126 perforations will work but not sure. - Mike

FPP did a segment on rolling 35mm with 828 backing paper.

Wow! My (deceased) lifetime Kodak employee uncle would be proud of you Mike! So do you have a tree full of elves who cut/perf the 120 film into 126 for you (when they are not busy making cookies?) -- or is it just Owen? Great effort though for the FPP -- now, can you convince one of the Chinese plastic 35mm camera makers (RETO?) to make a *NEW* 126 camera (that works with Magicubes)????
