One of the hardest things in hitting is to elevate the hands before swinging to hit a high fastball. The higher it is the harder it is. To do it and be on time to apply the correct launch angle.. is nuts. Mookie was right to look at him like he was an alien lol.
Shohei as an astute pitcher guessed rightly the pitch sequence and was waiting on it. The only way to get him out is to throw him something he isn't expecting. Still, swinging at a high heater is very hard, but with an elite hitter like Ohtani, if you throw him anything he's expecting, it'll be smashed.
Nobody needs to worry about Sho in the post season. He has already consistently proven when the need is greatest he comes through. When his team was decimated by injuries, he carried the middle of the season. These insanity Hollywood days he provides us with show when the fans are loudest he controls his destiny.
