Maybe since Neuman has more experience with that power, perhaps she figured out how to utilize it in a way that fortifies her tissue/cells or something defensive like that.

Neuman also used a blade to cut open her own hand in Gen V to show Marie that they have the same powers. Which is strange that she is all of a sudden bullet proof. Maybe there is another aspect of her powers we dont know yet but that is strange to me.
I think it's just one of those things where powers are inconsistent depending on what the story needs. It slightly bothers me sometimes but I try to look past it lol.

Not strange for this show. All the bulletproof supes seem to be able to be cut and have needles stuck in them. Starlight is bulletproof and had a tracker in her. Sam is bulletproof and had IVs and needles stuck in him. 🤷♀️

If you are talking about Marie it knocked her out it seems. I don’t know why people always bring up his lasers. Other than Stormfront and Marie has he used them on any other supes? Stormfront enjoyed his lasers and Marie went down from them.
Damn, that means Hughie is dying too. His mom is dead, right? He see's her and talks to her immediately cuts to Butcher talking to his dead wife. Hughie took less so he's dying slower. Darn. Maybe Butcher doesn't make it to the end of the final season and Hughie needs to be the Butcher the last few episodes.
The fact they blame Butcher for blowing the first mission is ridiculous. Frenchie and Kimiko were the reason they got made, Nueman even says it to Hughie at the van.
