I recently discovered Aventura and Romeo Santos. I now be listening to bachata on a daily basis because I explored the genre. Spanish is really a beautiful language, wich makes the lyrics sound more emotional. I dont know why, but "mi corazon" just hits harder than "my love".
I remember when I came to live to USA in 2001 and seeing Aventura singing in the parks in Manhattan and thinking how these teenagers' liked to sing bachata ? cause back in Dominican republic only older guys used to sing that genre. then they became world wide known. Romeo is a legend he gives you a show on his concerts and keep people entertained the whole time plus he is so finee!

I remember listening to his music way back in 2003 when he had his first album at the beginning of Aventura when no one knew who the band was and the bachata genre was extremely underrated. The band had incredible growth over the years and became so big and popular but all remained so humble.
I'm old school! But this dude has become a legend! Tonight I went out to dinner with my mom and daughter, and my daughter played his songs 😅 shoot I was surprised 😂. She 20 and Argentine and Dominican and I was like wow linda good taste!!

Aventura broke barriers and paved the way they took a genre of music that wasn’t even known by other Latin countries much less Americans and added English lyrics!! Such a Dominican pride like I’m sure how Mexicans about Selena when she first came out and now with peso pluma. This is awesome. Arriba latino America!!!
