- The M4/T26 in War Thunder is a Sherman Hull with the MASSIVE Pershing turret stuck on top. That means we finally have a 90mm sherman in War Thunder!
The M4/T26 is seriously goofy looking. With 3 more tonnes sitting well above the center of gravity playing it almost gave me motion sickness. The US 90mm is really effective at this battle rating, so silly as it looks... it's still a really good tank!
Due to the hull the M4/T26 is a pretty weakly armoured. At the end of the day, this is still a Sherman at 6.0 meaning any shoot on the hull is going to mean a swift trip straight back to the hanger. As a result you need to be pretty switched on all of the time in order for things to work well!

The reason why the tiger pushed so hard is because barrels don't usually take 16 seconds to repair as not everyone has an aced crew, or the tiger's experience with getting it's barrel shot out that results in a 30 second repair

One of the reasons why I absolutely hate the crew leveling mechanic. It's 0 skill and entirely how long you have been playing for/how much money you have spent
@@docthemedic His mistake was trying to climb over the junk pile, which means the gun was bouncing all over and it gave Odd an easy shot. He should have gone wide and level and he might have gotten the first shot off. But yeah, as "lgzilee" said, you are usually screwed no matter what when faced with a lvl 100 player.

Right at the start of the first battle you ask why people run into you and then turn into you. It's actually usually not them doing it. By running into you at that angle, they've pit-maneuvered themselves, causing their vehicle to turn across the front of yours. One bit of physics Gaijin actually nailed perfectly.
Oh hell naw, tank collision physics in this game is some of the most jankiest I've ever played, might as well play the Source engine ragdoll sound whenever you magnetically bump into someone.

There's also the loading lag time. I've spawned in many times getting pushed by another tank because I wasn't there a moment ago, and same in reverse. I've apologized to so many players after spawning in, only to realize I was pushing along another player.
Hi @OddBawZ. Great video as always! The "Pershing with a 76 mm" that you mentioned at the end of the video was actually the T23. A couple hundred of those were actually produced, but never adopted for service. Basically, it used the same chassis as the T20, had the turret and gun of the Easy 8, and had an electric transmission. Two versions of it would work well in War Thunder - the T23E3 with torsion bar suspension and the T23E4 with HVSS suspension (same as Easy 8). Thank you for your great content!

Wow, that bobblehead on the 90MM Sherman is definitely one of the goofiest things I've seen in War Thunder. But what really caught my attention was at 4:12 when you mentioned Misphonia. As someone who suffers from it myself, it's always interesting to see how others experience and cope with certain sounds. Thanks for bringing awareness to this condition!
Dude for real. People, friends, girlfriends, my own relatives thought it was me just being rude when I asked them to chew with their mouthes closed. Then I _actually_ got diagnosed with it when an ex girlfriend got an appointment with a psychologist to ask them why I was being so rude. Ten years later I still have to leave the vicinity of some of my best friends when their eating because I get anger pent up inside of me for no reason, especially if multiple people who eat loudly, in the same room, or with no background noise. They're some of my best friends, but I honestly feel anger towards them for no other reason then they're chewing.
I have this condition but I believe it's to a slightly lesser extent. I get physically angry but I can control it. I can feel my heart rate increase and if I don't actively try to suppress it, I will lose track of all thought and only be able to focus on the chewing. Or if somebody has the sniffles and they are on the phone with me and they don't pull the phone away to sniffle. One time I have hung up on my dad because he sniffled like 4 times directly into the phone within a minute. But I sent a text and he already knew why I hung up. Sniffling in person I don't have much of an issue with. Loud chewing or loud breathing though feels like my body jumps into fight or flight. I just wish it was easier to explain without making someone feel self-conscious or like I'm trying to insult them.

4:10 it's called misophonia. I have it as well and in my case, it triggers me extremely severely. Once I scratched my forearm until it bled underneath the table while eating dinner with 7 family members. Not fun and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. As soon as your brain hears chewing noises, loud breathing or mouse clicking you'll become insanely mad.

I definitely think this sherman lends itself well to the M26 style of play. Slow, steady, and waiting on angles vs pushing. Which is against Odd's playstyle lol

What you are talking about at 4:00 is called Misophonia. It's when you get an actual fight or flight response from certain noises. For me it's when people are chewing with their mouth open, i feel like i have an obligation to punch them in the face and can't do anything but use self control and ask politely that they shut their mouth while chewing.

I has an M51 HEAT shell ricochet off a panther track and then it glitched under the map and didn’t detonate or anything

I still don't know why they used the A2 chassis. There is an actual blueprint for an M4A3 90mm with a Pershing turret, and it was supposed to be like the E2!

I love playing this tank. I think everyone does well with it, even if they don’t like it. So i think it will get bumped to 6.3
idk, im a generaly a very good player, but i don't like this thing. Gun handling and mobility are tragic and you die from everything...
I actually prefer the M36, which als gets heat to bully panthers ond the ufp.

Every once in a while we get these really good vids where Bawz' teammates are actually good instead of brain dead and its just so pleasant. A good teammate is literally like a flower on the battlefield literally, it makes you smile and get so happy. That's the M16 player, what a fucking dude.

I have definitely been in the other position where I do everything I can to try to break the contact and go straight, but the other tank continuing to hit w just makes that impossible the way warthunder will just randomly kill your engine and traction performance.

@@torindechoza7266 Exactly so bawz gave away precisely where their position was by shooting up where you can use triangulation to determine location. The other teamate only fired a short burst into the dead tiger

It's called Misophonia. I've slapped my brother on more than one occasion for chewing with his mouth open after he'd been told to stop.
But it can be any sound really. The worst for me is plastic zippers. Winter jackets are the worst, the sound makes me physically shudder.
the M23 is the 76 Sherman turret with different variant hulls and powertrains. I think they used a hull design similar to the T20 and T25 but the turret was used for the 76mm shermans.
The tiger in the first game ran at you because not everyone has maxed out crews in that br.
A very strange tank. He's average, but he has poor mobility, he's also an average sniper.
I don't understand why he didn't get the APCR and HEAT ammo that Jackson has at 5.7.
The 90mm cannon does not shine at long range - a standard shell often bounces, especially when someone likes to shoot at a distance, above 1000 meters, and even up to 2000 meters, if the map allows it.
I don't mind sub-caliber shells that much, but you have to remember that the 90mm cannon was mainly used to destroy tanks and fired APCR by default.
Personally, I often use HEAT on Jackson - for long-range sniper duels.
This is a good 2nd or 3rd vehicle for a lineup just because of the gun. Once your good toys get blown up you bring out this monstrosity to deal some pain

The reason this tank is good is that you expect T26 to be terrible and, compared to T26, it's okay.
Effectively, though, it's a Jackson that can't be effectively strafed or overpressured.

If you don’t like this sherman, try the sta1, the heat isn’t worth using oftentimes so it’s essentially slightly higher br, slightly faster and less armour

New update now has your crew verbally shout the range if you use the rangefinder on an enemy or friendly, dead or alive so long as your commander is still alive. It has to be within your normal range though. It doesn't help with those long engagements but I've found it useful in a pinch. With those slower rangefinders the crew will give you the range verbally before it's actually done and it can save you a few crucial seconds.

Odd, the phobia you were talking about is called misophonia, and I have it as well. I don't think I could've possibly played with that guy. I'm able to not get upset about it in public settings or family gatherings, as you can't really avoid it there, but it certainly does drive me nuts 😂
Edit: for those of you that watch Fargo, you'll know of the scenes where the British man has closeups of him eating in just the most disgusting manner possible. I had to take the headset off for those scenes lmao.

i play with german spaa sd.kfz.251/21 on its br 3.3 it can melt 80% of tanks it can even pen a t34 turret
Yeah the key with this thing is pretty obvious after you play it. First, you have to be defensive because the gun handling is bouncy and bad. Second, play hull down, because your turret armor is way better and more trolly than your hull armor. If you manage to do that the US 90mm will carry you to victory.
