Good video thanks man, I imagine different rims could weigh fairly different amounts too, so maybe the electrical tape could be more viable on a light rim, or that extra 3g of rotation wouldn’t matter much.
Yeah that's been known to happen when you're running with no foams it sounds like a drum same thing when you run in the o-ring sounds hollow😂. That's why I use foam to keep the tie a tight and stop the drum song.
I use the ds racing wheels for asphalt and concrete because of gow well they hold a tire. Hpi nitto tires uo front and yokomo dra tires in the rear. All of my indoor wheels have foam on them and either mst gold dot or yokomo drp tires.

@badcredentials4230 great thoughts! I definitely will be weighing the different types of wheels now. Thanks!
I got some yokomo tires on mst Wheels, and I don't use anything have had no issues so far. Good video man!!!!
Awesome to hear you're having success! There are some different approaches out there and it's cool to see what works for people.
The sound difference with foam was interesting, never thought about that
Yeah same! Always something to learn with this hobby for sure. I love that!

no issues slipping and i run ds racing and run nothing no foam tape or o rings so far been mostly using ds racing wheels
@SpAcE-gAdGeT thanks for sharing my friend! Yeah those ds wheels seem to fit a bit tighter than some of the one piece wheel designs.
@@edriftin def seems if its the same company they work good jus like anything else other manufactures not exactly fit
@@SpAcE-gAdGeT the only thing about the DS wheels is that they are not true. They tent to wobble.
@Jeshter2000 ive noticed that as well. I wasnt sure if it was me not tightening the wheel up true or if it came that way.
I use foam but I actually go to my local Michaels craft store and buy 12x12 sheets of it for $0.99 same thickness
@@jacobmangini1741 thanks for sharing! That sounds like a good deal.
