Great tips, shooting in cold temps is possible just need a pair of hand warmers. I recently shot a set of pictures on an ice fishing trip last week. Shot the pictures in -10*C and quickly turned it upside down, in my pocket, then quickly transferred to my camera bag with two hand warmers in the pocket with my picture. Seperated the hand warmers from the picture using the black film shield that comes with every pack as to make sure it didn’t heat damage. Picture came out amazing.
I shot Impossible project film and I can vouch for what you said, almost got me from doing instant photography. The original Polaroid films were great(peel apart and later integral) but I have been impressed with the new batches of Polaroid films. The new 600 B&W is phenomenal. Good tips on the light shielding!
The 'restored' SX-70 I got on ebay had that overexposure in bright scenes, even cloudy but bright days. Four years ago I had no idea as to why. Thanks again for your knowledge and passion that puts so many at ease at not having to settle for bad results and totally, and completely incorrect answers from the ty wanabees.
I appreciate this! I put a frog tongue on my SX-70 and I think I’ve ruined a picture or two from them not ejecting all the way an getting stuck. I think I’m going to ditch it and just do the first method because it also just make the camera sit weird and not close well.
It's a ridiculous design flaw in the new Polaroid products. I really wish they would sort it out. You think about all the money they pump into new cameras etc, and yet the biggest problem isn't the camera, it's the formula.
actually a bigger issue is the cameras if you are shooting an SX-70! Being 50 years old, they are guaranteed to need some TLC, and will be prone to over-exposing your shoots until serviced by a tech like me In terms of formulation, if you have any tips for Polaroid in terms of producing a rapidly dissolving titanium dioxide coating for light proofing, feel free to let them know :) The issues in the video really only occur during super harsh sunlight, and I never seem to have an issue because I always eject across the chest Having started back in the TIP days, the modern film might as well be Time Zero in comparison (see examples I peppered throughout the video)

Excellent solutions to shooting in very bright sunny conditions. In the UK where I live this is not a problem we come across 😉

I started in 2015 shooting impossible project film, and yeah, I always had the box over the front of the camera even if I wasn't in direct sun lol

How does FUJIFILM solve this issue? I have an Instax which works great with no need to cover the photo.

body temperature is generally a good temperature to develop film at unless it's a very very hot day
