Hi. Thanks for your comment. Yes the heat pump water heater will have more maintenance than the typical gas or electric heaters. I have a heat pump water heater and it has been working well for years other than a replacement of the start and run capacitors (mine is a cheaper Chinese made unit). I look at it this way. If the pay back on investment is about 3 years on the unit from electrical or gas savings, then if the unit needs some repairs every few years it is more than worth it. As long as I get more life out of the unit than the ROI, then even if I had to do a full replacement, everything I save past the ROI is money in my pocket. So far on my unit, I have saved enough to pay for the unit and it is still going strong. Great idea on doing a cost for maintenance comparison video. You have a blessed day.
