Same in the area of Paris. It always makes me smile when something barely smalker than my current flat (90m2, 4 bedrooms, 6 people living there comfortably) is described as ”tiny” - but depending on the amount of stuff ones has or the style of one’s furniture, it can indeed feel too small.

I was really pleased that my solution for having a very large table with a bench is architect approved 😄The table gives so much more workspace even when taking more squarefootage on the floor. Fantastic as usual. I would prefer (as a flat owner) a bit smaller dining table for 6 and a separate TV cabinet in different color, to avoid the whole living area feel like a huge extended kitchen. Also with such a small space I would rather pick white furniture and light kitchen color.

Was there any consideration given to making any changes in the children's bedroom or were the clients happy with the function of that space? I"m definitely going to search for more of your videos!

I agree, I would like to see a video addressing how design aspects have been used. I think it would be interesting to see the improvements made by the redesign and also where there may be further improvements to be made. Such as this design, I think that top opening boxes would be more accessible next to the dining table.

Wow! You've done an incredible job with a space that seemingly had it's limitations. This is what I love about good design; it not only solves the problem on a practical level, but also a pyschology one. This design seeks to alleviate stress around clutter (hello parenthood!) and trying to maintain a clean, efficient environment also.Love that you've not only designed the space, but were sensitive around budgeting as well as pointing the couple in the direction of how to DIY the storage area themselves. Only thing missing from this video...an update from the couple to see if they enacted the ideas. Hope you can get an update from them, otherwise an absolutely beatiful job!

My in laws lived and raised their 4 kids in 48m2 flat, with a 15m2 livingroom, 2 bedrooms (10m2 and 6m2), kitchen 6m2 where my father in law also worked as a tailor (had a sewing machine there). They even hosted parties for 20 people 🤯
Therefore 80m2 for 2+2 family is really a lot of space.

Unless explicitly forbidden by the clients, those dark furniture pieces should have been updated with white or lite warm gray cabinets and splashes of accent color here and there. I would also add a custom table top to the desks in the bedroom, spanning from one table over the the drawers in the middle and to the other table, giving the clients plenty of surface area for books, plants, accessories etc and giving a more cohesive look.
The hardest thing here was to reorganise the living area and you managed that pretty well, as ususal. Can't waint for future vids. Cheers! 😊

Brilliant ideas! There is one small issue though, the parents' bed only has one night stand so one of the occupants has neither a place to put their thing nor a reading light. I would suggest a bed like the Ikea Brimnes bed that has hidden storage in its headboard. The headboard also acts a shelf upon which one could place 2 reading lamps allowing more symmetry. This bed also has big drawers underneath it for storage.
And maybe replace the bathroom door with a sliding one? (However, this could lead to a noise issue if someone uses it during the night).

Soooo much effort and detail has gone in to making this video. The explanations, the price list, the renders - you offer a full story with your videos and the rationale behind your decisions which not only entertains but educates at the same time. I always come away inspired. Thank you!

What an amazing transformation! It looks much bigger and of course much clearer. I'm sure that the family will love it and they should get about another 10 years there before having to move.

    Daniel you're a genius!
The TV does seem a little off in the new arrangement but I think that actually works to help encourage more family human contact time vs screen time.
Then again the dining chairs can be moved or even some small bean bags hidden away in the bench storage, as seating that faces the TV more

I grew up in 750 sq ft apartment in a family of 4. So did most of the people I know. This whole thing today that you NEED 2500 sq.ft or you won't be comfortable is ridiculous.

Wasn't an option to move the kids bedroom door to the left? Like that you'd have a full living area by the windows where you could accommodate a medium size sectional and hang the tv in front of it and not sideways like it is in the proposed solution. The seating bench storage would be shorter but you'd compensate with a decent size TV stand and/or storage above/around it.
I absolutely love your channel by the way 👏👏👏👏

Nice design. For me. I would move the additional bedroom door closer dining table. so the living room tv won't be in an awkward position.

Putting in sensible storage is key , I would think. However , if the occupants arent as tidy as others, then it doesnt matter what storage you put in , they still wont clean it up .
