Nice, I got stuck in the same spot. I somehow spotted that there was a 39 pair in column 9 instead of the triple you found.
This was nicely challenging, I appreciate the walkthrough as always. This was straightforward for me, I saw the triple in c9 during my usual scan and the rest followed pretty much the same path as yours.
I'm jet-lagging after a week in Europe, and so I missed the puzzles for the past week.
Hey Rangsk, the only place for 7s in C7 were in box 3 restricting 7s in box 3. You spotted the tripe instead which I think was the easier find. 🙏
that's what I saw and it left a 46 pair -I'm still slow as 💩

I went this route, too, didn't see the triple in C9
The first few times I tried the nyt sudoku hard I had to watch your videos to solve them. But the last few I managed to solve by myself without consulting your videos. My time for this one was 16:32 and I couldn't believe I was faster than you (thats a first). So thank you for showing me more tricks on how to solve sudokus, your videos are really helpful and changed the way I solve sudokus

Finding the hidden triple in column 9 was the key. (14:51 for me)

Thanks for posting these! I’ve gone from not knowing how to do Sudoku at all to consistently solving the hards daily. I’ve been working my way through your old posts and using the SudokuPad links but it looks like the older videos have been removed before last week?

Maybe a bit ballsy to say but today was relatively (not easy...) fast solve for me.
After finishing the 8s in the beginning I saw several restrictions with 4s. You missed (or didn't mark) almost all of them (b2, b3, b4, b6). Only after that I started the basic scanning. While scanning the bottom band I got the naked single 1 in b8. That helped to solve the b7 completely. Couple of follow-ups and *BOOM* that 467-triple was right in front of me. At that point I didn't have too many markings yet so it was relatively easy to spot. Of course there was still some work to do but it helped me a lot.
I found it pretty easy in that I never got stuck, I just kept moving , there was always something. But I'm a noob and slow.
