As for some guy being behind this, someone on Reddit put it perfectly: Do not erase her role just to entertain a conspiracy theory. It does a great injustice to what happened to Emily. Also, Shannon’s not a helpless child. People who know her in real life and better than either of us (like her siblings!) have testified to her obsession and the lengths she went to to stalk and harass.
This is my favorite controversy because it ended up with a true canceled career. Everyone agrees she's batshit insane. I do believe that she might also be in an abusive relationship but that doesn't excuse her bad behavior. Hope they get therapy and a long hard look at themselves.

I was a big fan of creepshow.
I woke up from emergency surgery one day, after my fallopian tube decided to hold an embryo and then explode, to find Emily's video. I watched all of it from the boredom of my bed and just couldn't believe it. Her silence in response said so much. Then all of the evidence that came out after? Pfffft.
So in one day I lost a baby, a fallopian tube and a confident artist who I looked up to.

Watching the story with Emily as it came out was absolutely heartbreaking. I had issues with stalking and PTSD from an ex but I could never imagine having to deal with something so horrifying. The "no filter, tell it how it is, boss attitude" can be appealing to listen to. Sometimes you just want to hear someone go off and say what needs to be said. However, sometimes it turns out someone is just a "rebel without a cause" as it were. They aren't "hardened and blunt" with their tone, they're actually just a jerk that said things you agreed with. It's kind of like those sigma male memes, except in real life and done unironically. Sure, someone being able to say whatever and bravely do stuff looks cool as a meme, but in practice they'd just come off as an arrogant jerk with a short fuse that makes your life a pain.

It feels so weird to have known her, like I wasn't a close friend or anything but we chatted from time to time. None of us knew what she was doing to Emily she hid it from so many of us. I even remember once sending her one of emilys art videos because she was talking about wanting to get some art supplies (it was the testing every highlighter one iirc) and she said something like how she loves her videos and how inspirational Emily was. Gives me chills thinking about it now.

I did know her, but not currently. No one knows where shes at now, or if they do, they don't say to me. I used to watch her videos from very early on and she noticed my comments and we became mutuals on Insta. Didn't talk very often, Im a nobody so I guess she couldn't use me for drama or clicks. We had a similar bichy and abrasive personality (Though I've grown out of that, thankfully) so we'd half vent half edgy joke to each other about life and that sort of stuff.
Last time I spoke to her might have been a month before the Emily Artful thing came out, she wasn't doing well mentally I assume something happened with Anthony behind the scenes, but it seems anything I said made her more irate so I left her alone.
Tried to contact her when Emily posted her first tweets about Shannon but she ghosted me, stupidly it made me believe she was innocent because why would she just stop speaking if she hadn't been hacked? I hadn't realised she had the time to tell her TH-camr buddies to not defend her. So I ended up looking like an idiot defending her at first and quickly realised I was in the wrong.
Sent Shannon an angry dm a couple weeks later passive aggressively thanking her for letting me get dogpiled for her but also said if she can spend a long time in therapy and try to change for the better id still want to be friends again despite it all. She read it but never replied.

I felt the insanity through the beginning of this video. frankly i feel bad for her because she thinks that way and that's how she works, because no matter what mentality you are, even mental health like that hurts, but then again, i also dont care and kinda wanna just kick her in the shin. Art is something very personal so it easy for feelings to be involved. Whether it be accusations of plagiarism, criticism on someone's art (some people can't handle it) or targeted harrasment of artists, etc. There is going to be drama. Giving criticism related to art is so difficult because you cannot outright say you dislike it, or that its not for you, or that you are not interested (this is in person), but online there really isn't anything to hold you back from voicing what you think with someone's art. Especially an amateurs art. And since the internet is a very public space, as public as you can really get, that means that everyone can see what someone says about your work, so it can feel very emotional, which is a perfect breeding ground for drama.

Shannon’s friends deserved all the pressure they got when she was exposed. Her whole friend group never gave anyone the benefit of the doubt before they labeled someone as a terrible person and made negative videos on them. All the sudden when a friend of theirs is exposed, they want to wait till more info comes out? They never thought of giving anyone else that courtesy. Fuck them. They deserved it.

@@riachew I too am an artist and if she did do it that quickly I would think she'd have to had traced it. Even then, less than 5 minutes seems unlikely. I used to watch her videos before the drama and it took her forever to do a small section, constantly erasing. Tbf though that could have been when she was using her commentary over other people's work.

While I do understand your point of view, it pretty much comes off as generalization. Whatever community or fandom, whether for a video game, a show, an anime, sports, makeup, food, and even the most seemingly simple things, there will always be a bunch of bad apples, and they unfortunately will get more attention than the good ones (perhaps due to it being more intriguing, entertaining, and emotion provoking for people than the fact that there are better people out there) But the fact still stands that there are still good people in the community, they are just overlooked and forgotten because of the more intriguing bad apples in it. I mean honestly, I've noticed how on the news and on existing articles, people just tend to care more/give more reactions for the controversial stuff rather than the good wholesome deeds performed.

I've been following Emily for years and she's always been such an inspirational person for me, having gone through a lot of hardships throughout my life as well. I remember being so happy for her seeing her baby mentioned for the first time. I remember (I think) watching her paint in watercolor and seeing how beautifully made it was. I never knew of any relation between her and Creepshow art up until this video and that saddens me deeply. Emily did not deserve what she went through, and she deserves the best life with her and her baby. She's such a strong and amazing person, and I hate that she had to deal with all of this. Creepshow art is truly a horrible person seeing all of the things she's done, especially what she did to Emily and her sister, I could never imagine treating anyone this way. It's almost sickening. I hope Emily continues her art journey because I've enjoyed it for years, and she's explained it to be a great coping mechanism for her. Emily, if you see this, you are a beautiful person inside and out and you are an absolute inspiration and amazing mother. Keep living your best life and stay smiling and healthy. You are very loved and appreciated. ♥️
