I loved cloudpelt so much and I almost cried at his death, I knew he would've died beacuse I knew brokenstar would be leader but it still managed to break me
Also Lightning tail so deserved to be leader along with stonefur and Greystripe :3 deadstar tho, that's one edgy leader name
All of these deputies would be amazing leaders. I think Redtail would have been an amazing leader, even if we never really knew him.

Deputies who Should Have Become Leader...
1. Frizzle`Fur ( He was loyal, Swift, Strong, and he did most of the Clans hunting! He deserved to live to see his son, Crooked`Bone grow up to be a fierce and strong cave-guard of BreezeClan )
2. Grass`Fur ( She tried her hardest to prove she was loyal to Hover`Star, but whatever she did he payed no attention, and he regretted choosing her as deputy. But when she tried saving Hover`Star from Dark`Storm, Candle`Tail and Shadow`Fang, she was killed, and Hover`Star lost a life but lived. He always remembered the she-cat who supported him, but the she-cat who never got support back.)
3. Sparrow`Feather ( Though he was ambitious and cruel, he was a noble deputy. He tried his hardest to save Frizzle`Fur’s son during the rockslide, but instead it killed him too. )
4. Wet`Storm ( This brave, light grey Tom was the only thing stopping Red`Claw from regretting leaving BreezeClan, and being appointed LightningClan deputy. He told him these exact words as an apprentice, “Never give up your heart, Red`Claw, and something may come to you. Answer me when I say, what Clan do you feel most comfortable in?” And his later words, moments before death, “Never give up your heart... your new deputy will have faith in you, even if it is no more than what I have for you. BreezeClan May have needed you, but your path’s lay with LightningClan, now...”
5. Shiver`Foot ( This white-pelted dirt-stained she-cat, risked her life of getting lifeless black cough to help save Seagull`Flight. Though she saved this queen, she later was diagnosed, and she killed herself, but was reborn in Seagull`Kits litter, as Shiver`Cloud. )
UM EXCUSE ME RUSSETFUR SHOULD NOT HAVE BECOME LEADER THEY ALREADY HAD ENOUGH TROUBLE WITH BLACKSTAR AND SHE IS WORSE AND HAS NO SELF CONTROL

Nat9526 aj it doesn’t matter if they have the same prefix as another cat, they can still be leader. There are two TigerStar’s and they didn’t say anything about that.

I think Yellowfang should, she gived the names like no one does, with respect and how she feels for them, like brokedstar, how she felt broken because she have to give him away and runningnose that medicine cats cant do everything to heal others if its not possible but at least they try

Agreed with all, but agree especially much on Mudclaw. He was not bloodthirsty or anything. He was a decent cat and a good deputy. Also, being leader is his rightful duty and Onestar was a terrible leader. A liar, a terrible friend, and irrational. ThunderClan helps WindClan multiple times, and then when Onestar becomes leader, “I’M BORED. OH I KNOW IM GONNA LEAD MY CLAN INTO A USELESS BATTLE AGAINST THUNDERCLAN In tHEiR oWn caMp BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE A GOOD IDEA AND IT’LL MAKE ME LOOK STRONG ahUhHahHhahnHahahahHhhHahAHhhah”
Like Jesus... why did Tallstar appoint Onestar deputy before dying instead of keeping Mudclaw as the deputy and allowing him to become leader? Onestar did not deserve leadership, he’s a terrible leader. Mudclaw would of been a strong leader. He’s extremely loyal and defensive of his clan.

I guess so, but he certainly made the wrong choice.. Onestar went and actually raided the ThunderClan camp for no reason and then acted like a jerk and lied about so many things. He definitely did not deserve to be the deputy, much less leader of the clan. I kinda wish Mudclaw and Hawkfrost had succeeded, and Mudclaw became leader in the end.
I know that most of people think that GrayStripe woudn't be a good leader and don't deserved to be one, but i think that he should have gotten the chance to be one, i think that he just learned from his mistakes and would be a great leader, and to be honest i'm kinda sad that he don't got a chance to be one. That's just my opinion, please don't try to justify why he woudn't be a good leader because i already know what he did and all the stuff.. :')..

Although, I would like to put my opinion down on Graystripe and leadership:

I don't think Graystripe would have been a good leader. He had already clearly shown he was not loyal. He had kits with a cat from RiverClan, and showed little to no remorse for his actions. He later joined RiverClan to be with his kits, further showing his willingness to leave ThunderClan. While he did come back to ThunderClan, I believe it was more loyalty to Fireheart, not to the Clan as a whole.
Might I also add, he is/was getting pretty old, older than both Brambleclaw and Brackenfur (on the mention of Brackenfur, I think he would have been an outstanding leader, but he was just a bit too old for the job).
Graystripe didn't deserve to be leader.
And yes, I knowww you don't like Brambleclaw/star, but he had shown to be very loyal, brave and strong. I don't like Bramblestar all that much, but he definitely deserved the role more than Graystripe.

If redtail had become leader i doubt bluestar wouldve been able to make peace with her kits and we probably wouldnt have had the entore plot and conflict of the first series in the first place
