This game has so many spectacle moments it’s hard not to say that this game isn’t one of if not the coolest Sonic games period.

Sonic’s attitude here is by far the most perfect out of probably all the games. THIS is how Sonic should act.
Also this game along with Secret Rings is proof that Sonic can weirdly fit into almost any setting you put him in.

this is why sonic being static is peak, his character is timeless and can fit any setting. both prime and movie sonic completely changes that about him, he's not even the same character anymore

I like this game because the story is amazing thanks to Shiro Maekwawa, Sonic characterization in the story is amazing, The Soundtrack is Peak. The voice cast is amazing and makes this the last time they play their role as their characters.
I would love to see the Sonic Storybook Series return someday with the new game with Sonic entering Greek mythology, Sci-Fi, western, or maybe horror. Also, they could port both Secret Rings and Black Knight in modern consoles

What's very interesting is that Sonic and the Black Knight is not an ordinary Sonic game, this game specifically has a morality system for every action you do that is either good or bad depending what you do that goes to your followings page
say you gave the towns people rings, they will give you items and are happy for you as well as rescuing them from the underworld's minion, that good course of action will grant you SILVER PLATED GOLD EMBLEM METALS for the GOOD DEEDS you've done
The opposite would to leave any enemies remaining, enemies who have town's folk hostaged, accidentally hitting the towns folk, not giving them money, anything that is bad will grant you OBSIDIAN RED CRIMSON EMBLEM METALS which represent THE BAD ACTIONS
Depending on what you do, to how much grinding you put into this game, will give you different status results.

@@drackflame951 shadow the hedgehog actually did the morality thing first, but to be fair in black knight i think it was just an additional sorta thing, it was by no means the main focus unlike shadow
This game was my introduction to sonic and i’ve been a massive fan since. Even though the motion controls aren’t amazing, everything else is so good
I like playing as Sir Lancelot(Shadow) in the second Dragon Boss Fight, he straight up tells the Dragon to die.

Deadass one of the Sonic games ever.
Even if the gameplay is weird.
To me, Sonic stories peaked here. It’s very well written, with good characterization, fun story twists, along with an ending with a bittersweet message. Definitely what I want new games to strive towards in terms of story.

Easily my favorite Sonic game. Nothing will ever touch Balck Knight for me. Not even Frontiers came close to capturing the magic of Black Knight.

This game was definitely the best characterization of Sonic, it has great moments, and.. i just miss these times, man, with that being said, the gameplay's pretty bad, i could find myself having some amount of fun in the earlier levels, but man.. it just gets annoying to swing the sword at enemies as you go through the game, as it feels very delayed and it gets extremely annoying
Hopefully at some point the controls are more better to use instead of using the Wii remotes and the nunchuck
If this game was fully optimized and of course people would go nuts grinding this game with a lot that is put into it.
