A good old egg sandwich with cheese and onions when I was a latch key kid and top ramen with crushed cheetos and hot sauce got me through school back in the day.
Eggs are another good struggle food. Boil them, scramble, omelette. Nice easy protein when you’re broke. Eggs, hot dogs, noodles, and rice got me through college in the 90’s and beyond.
All beef hot dogs were luxury. Ramen with an egg if you found enough change in the sofa (or rice with soy sauce & a fried egg), fried potatoes with some onion, and sardines with saltines...
My family’s struggle food and still is today is Chicken. I swear we are more chicken than any other meat. We ate so much chicken, I swear, when we had hamburger, I was like “oh hell yeah, this is a delicacy.” Also, 3:07 had me laughing cuz I know the struggles. My family grew up poor. Not a lot of money. 😂👍🏻
Not gonna lie, i might try the fried bologna with jelly. Because it’s no different than eating maple syrup or honey on bacon. Or honey on chicken. Because people love chicken and waffles together. And spam is delicious. I make spam fried rice all the time or make my own kimbap (korean sushi) with spam as the meat choice sometimes.
Rice takes too much preparation Cream corn sandwich? Tony was way to deep in the trenches Isn’t cereal considered a struggle food? Aye fucc dat. I wanna take yall back to 94. What yall know about syrup sandwiches? Just bread and syrup. For a treat, a plastic bag with just kool aid and sugar. No cable, no car, on the bus. No microwave, made popcorn on the stove (which was better). No washer and dryer. Hung the clothes up on a clothes line in the backyard. That was life in St. Louis, MO early 90’s
Rice is too hard for me to prepare. Cream corn sandwiches are gross 🤮. Bread and syrup idk. Kool aid in a bag would be ok. Hanging clothes is better! 😁 😊 💓-Ash
It just how they hugging Tony at the end.. ❤
Fried baloney sandwich with some mustard was my favorite.

Such a good one. I’m a fan of rice. I agreed with her on that. Tony won.
