I wish the perks of Lunar and Shadow influence were somewhat closer for lore reasons mostly. I’d say balancing these practically perfectly is basically a must for Klei at this point. Especially characters like Winona would benefit so much from a near tie in usefulness between Lunar and Shadow alignment, since she is choosing between her sister who trapped her here and her boss who suddenly disappeared. Also I kinda want Winona’s interpretation of Wagstaff Don’t Starve to be really good

From my testings, "reduced effect of wetness on temperature" harms you more then it helps you. You still freeze during early to mid spring when you're wet, but during summer you do not chill enough.

wurt's alignement skilltree is kinda off, i mean, shadow merms are cool but its not that fitting????, one way to get better use out of the amphibian skilltree is to have an effect that slows down the drying effect
It's not really necessary considering how easy it is to stay wet You can drown yourself with a plank or use an oar quickly And you can also stack ballons for wetness on demand, with the new item that makes mosquitos passive killing them is even easer

It would be cool if the shadow aligned merms had some visual indicator to them, like tattered red robes or occult body paints I also would like to see the shadow merms themselves get a better look when empowered by pure horror. We’ve already seen shadow creatures with Pure Horror incorporated into their design such as post rift resting horrors and the shadelings. Give the shadow Merms some red accents it would look sick!

Good questions you can try them yourself you just need to change the game to the beta

you can also probably waterballoon yourself for wetness
I guess with this if you waterballoon yourself enough you can be basically invincible? dunno how effective it is though
can only apply up to 50 worth of damage soaking at a time, so any overflow damage hits your health
