It is really the mayor, county exec and governor who need to make it clear to the MLB owners, we are willing to negotiate, just not with Nutting. We will not even go to the table with him.
I'm very enthusiastic and optimistic about making Nutting EXTREMELY uncomfortable over the next several weeks and months. On the one hand, I fully expect to be disappointed in Pirates baseball during the 2025 season. Keeping essentially the same management team (thanks, Bob) will very likely lead to another extremely disjointed and unpredictable year-- particularly with the Cubs and Reds both publicly vowing to significantly improve in 2025. On the other hand, however long it takes to find the most successful ways to oust Nutting will be well worth the wait in my view. Fans like me who are currently participating in a growing fan movement will be indirectly but intentionally involved with the Pirates team in meaningful and constructive ways: active, motivated, creative, and results-oriented, and with the ultimate goal of applying very intense and very PUBLIC pressure. And for one of the most worthwhile causes in the city of Pittsburgh.
Another reason nutting can't move the team is the fact that the stadium is relatively new and is one of the best in the league. It's not like Oakland's deteriorating stadium.
This should become a political issue that politicians need to address when running for office. What's your stance on renewing the Pirates' lease with Bob Nutting?

But don’t give up hope. The Bucs have huge swathes of time between great teams that, as you say, “stink”. As DK has been saying stick around they’ll come back. Btw, I despise the tactics of the Pirate owner and management. Please let them move on and give young guys like you the chance to feel proud of their team!
I guess my question would be when do lease agreements usually get solved? Like do we expect a 2030 lease to be solved in 2028 or earlier/later?And what happens if the lease isn't renewed to the next Pirates team, would they be playing at the Wild Things park like Oakland playing in Sacramento next year?
what about the politicians ?? well they get a few pirate games in the owners box and that buys their silence ! MLB must force bob "good for" nutting to sell the team and end the misery of pirate fans .
For as money hungry as the Pirates are, im surprised by their lack of new alternate uniforms. I wanna see a home jersey with PIRATES in the cursive font
