    I was literally shedding my hair as I was running my fingers through my hair whilst watching this video.

      I've lost about half my hair in the last 2 weeks and it's really scaring me - I'm thinking it *could* be the IUD, but I've had it for 2 years already, why would this just start now? It's weird.

    All that you noticed with Mirena in I did as well but it amplified times 10 not 24 hours after removal. Anxiety through the roof, food aversion, joint pain, tingling and numbness in limbs, muscle weakness big time, food allergies, crying spells, insomnia, and now hyper thyroid. I so hope it is temporary like your symptoms. It's been one month since removing it but feel an upward spiral. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR INFO! Keep us updated!

    Thank god for the IUD support group I experienced horrible panic attacks anxiety acne depression and never linked it to my birth control until I found that group I’ve had it out 3 weeks now and I already see a huge difference

    Im sorry to hear you are going through all this. I myself got off the pill May of 2020 and have had stomach problems, right now the doctor are checking my galbladder, my ana came positive as well and my hair is half of what it was. if i knew all this was going to happen, I would have never gotten on the pill. Honestly its super depressing, especially after just getting married, also been trying to get pregnant for a whole year and nothing.

    How long until you noticed regrowth? My trigger was Accutane and I stopped May 2020 but still dont have regrowth. So happy for you and hope for nothing but positives for you!

      For me it was at the 3 month point after I removed my trigger, but I am still hoping for a lot more! It can take awhile for the hair cycles to reset itself. Has your shedding stopped?

    So, question - I'm experiencing a CRAZY amount of hair all of a sudden, I've lost almost half my hair in 2 weeks. I have an IUD, the Skyla one. I didn't want it to begin with but was pressured to get it by my family and husband and relented and just did it. I'm on medication that I'm weaning off of that made it where my daughter had to be in the NICU for 6 weeks (OB wouldn't let me abruptly stop the meds while pregnant either), so everyone told me I'd basically be disowned if I didn't get the IUD to ensure I wouldn't get pregnant again until after I was done weaning off the meds. I'm really close now, but still not quite there. But I'm wondering - for one thing, is it possible for problems like this to start this long into having it (2 years)? Also, when you got yours removed, did you switch to a different birth control method? I don't want to be on any kind of birth control, but I guess I have to a bit longer, so if I do get the IUD out, I HAVE to replace it with something, but I don't know what. Any thoughts on that?

    How are you doing now? My doctors refuse to help me. Lost 60 pounds in 8 months, major hair loss, bone pain, acne, mood swings almost rage at some points just NOT ME, the tingling, pins and needles in my hands and blue fingers, hot red hands and feet, thick black hair growing in odd places. Doctor said I was making up symptoms and needed a psychiatrist. I had no clue it would have been liletta. My gyno took it out last week but I’m still concerned for my health and cannot find a new GP. I’m just doing what I can to eat healthy with no appetite and using supplements but I’m scared still... curious how you are today?

      I'm so so sorry to hear that!!! I am 6 months post removal now and doing SO much better every single day. My cycles are still working themselves out and I know my hormones are still a little off, but every terrifying symptom I was experiencing is gone now. I hope that you start to improve soon and feel like yourself again love! Happy to answer any other questions

    My story is same. I had mirena in my body for 4 yrs. Today it's post 2 months I got it removed. The reason is excessive hair fall. But the shedding has not stopped yet. I wanted to know how much time it takes for the shedding to stop.

    Can you tell me how many strands u noticed per day during your TE??

    • @meglizbethm
      @meglizbethm  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At it's worst I was losing over 300 a day. My wash days would be more than 500. I tried not to count every strand each time because it became an obsession for me, but it was bad. But today was wash day for me and I only lost 35 hairs TOTAL for four days!
