Depends if one of the previous owners was Christopher Leeds who was the chap who crashed the car. Other pictures of the crash appear to show the last letter of the registration was L. Good detective work though!
If I had to choose a car which had been in an accident I would rather it had crashed through a plate glass window than into a wall or a larger vehicle. Years ago I was working in an office on the second storey of a 1950s prefab concrete building. All of a sudden there was a loud crash and there was a car embedded in the wall below. The wall panels were quite thin and the car went right through and stopped at the curve between the bonnet and the windscreen. It was quite funny to go into the office below and see the front of the car through the wall!
I've had a lot of Rovers of various types. It's by no means unusual for them to have had paint. Rover people, typically, are older people who take pride in their car and will get it repaired if it has a dent or scratch. Paintwork isn't always a bad thing.... unless it's been executed poorly.
The car in the picture has a smiley plate fitted but in your previous videos you show us that yours had a rectangular rear plate that you yourself changed. The scar that went through the jobcentre window has no sunroof & it was Norwich not Lincoln it took place in. Also the number plate can be defined with difficulty as a 51 plate car that died afterwards.
I wouldn’t say wrapped around a tree but he probably unwrapped someone in it 💀 will be interesting to see if someone can find out what it’s been up to in its lifetime, who said 75’s were boring!
You are being paranoid Tom I was the 2nd owner Tom the only accident that car has been in was in Scarborough when a guy pull out on me it was his fault and he paid me cash for it and I had a second hand front bumper fitted, I also upgraded the steering wheel and had a new wind screen fitted because the old one had a crack in it I brought it from the guy in Nottingham with 50 odd thousand on it I lived in Lincolshire and sold it to a lady in Devon with over a 100 thousand on she didn't have it very long till she sold it to you , that car never had a dodgy history before then I can assure you

The car that crashed was DA51 OBL, hasn't had an MOT since the event, so was likely written off. That took 2 mins to find 🙄

Definitely not the one, even with the reg blurred I can see it's different, the last 3 letters are OBL, unless of course someone put false plates on
Yours is not that car, the article I have linked shows the reg of the one that was in this incident. DA51 OBL.

Does the n/s front wing looks a slightly different shade to the bonnet and bumper but it's hard to to tell from the video
That is so interesting it's rather spooky Tom. My car had a ding at the front, I had to replace the crash bar. but nothing in the history- strange.

Car in the photo has mudflaps fitted, your doesn't and you'd be able to tell if they'd been removed, as they're would be holes/marks.

Also I had a couple of scabs blown in down the side in the accident the air back didn't go off it was only a slight bump
Good to know Mic, I knew this wasn’t true after I investigated it a bit just a message I got from someone saying it was that car
I would of still had it Tom if this merc hadn't of come up at a price I could afford, I thought alot of the Rover 👍
