All so very true. And the remedy is not to try harder, as many might think, but to humble ourselves and say we are weak. Then ask and believe the Lord will strengthen us to get back up, move up that hill and turn back to the Lord and His righteousness. We are more than conquerors, hupernikao. Even our willing hearts will fail at times but the Lord strengthens us to keep going and finish the race. 😊

This really opened my eyes on backsliding. I'm so grateful for you and this teaching. Your chart made me realize the path I took after my parents' divorce caused me great anger and I turned to marijuana. I am throwing it all away and never going back. Now that I see it as poo I won't desire poo😂. Thank you and I can't wait for part 2.
Once you choose not to repent and don't feel guilty and live day in day out in sin you have just chosen death over life

Very timely message, praise God. For anyone anxious about backsliding I recommend the book The Backslider: His Nature, Symptoms, and Recovery (1840) by Andrew Fuller.

At times I see in Christians, or claimed to be Christians, just as Jesus described for the disciples when they were not awake, the heart is willing but the body is weak. Pray that many can have the right heart and mind to know how to choose righteous decision according to his will, and be in God's favor, for Jesus came for sinners.

I never understood how someone could get saved by works. If it was true what would be the threshold how many works qualifies. If you miss it by 1!you just go to hell? lol makes no sense Jesus did all the work because we could never be perfect
