I converted to Islam long ago and so i always regarded Yusuf as my big brother. Funny thing, my uncle who was my wesileh looks and sounds like him, too. But i never heard him singing 😁

I bought the new album but I'm not thrilled with it. It's great to see and hear he hasn't lost anything vocally and musically. Aside from his old shows being a bit livelier he sounds the same, I saw him a couple of times on his Majikat Tour. Still, after all these years, it was one of the best shows I have seen and I've been to a few thousand in 50+ years.
Thank you for writing the soundtrack of my life over the last 50 years.

It's so much more than your voice! It's also your particular style of playing, the messages that resonated and still do within me today. More then that, your soul has always shone through in all your work. You are very in touch with higher dimensional ideals/intelligence. Not all are open or clear enough to recieve. Like an empty cup, you've carried potential to be filled with the most delicious melodies, lyrics and messages from spirit.

🥀Amazing to hear your word's of wisdom from the music industry and how you battled for your quest to come back to play your song's yes God brought you back for a reason and I'm thankful he did. God Bless you with creative ideas, solutions for lyrics it may have been a powerful journey but your a wonderful person with a Beautiful Soul your passion for music is within you. God doesn't make mistakes Yusef. I was born into music by my Father he was inducted into the Country music hall of fame and honor in Macon Ga. in 1987 but he was mainly Rockabilly, Gospel ect: he was offered to play his music in the Grand Ole Opra but he gave it up it broke my parents marriage up. I lost him to cancer in 1991 but I still have the memories of his song's. I Pray for you to keep your music going your life n love in music is Phenomenal & Priceless. Thank you for sharing your music with us the fans. God Bless you 🥀✌🥀☝️

I love this video of Yusuf at the V&A ,talking about his life and his music, he sounds so honest and so sincere. When Yusuf talks like this I could listen to him all night. I love the Album An Other Cup. Yusuf mentioned the song City After Dark, I love this song, I could listen to it all day and never tire of it. Also There is an excerpt from I think the original video for Heaven Where True Love Goes,Which is Wonderful but not available any more. What a Pity
City after dark is a lyric line in the song "Midday" and I agree it is a beautiful song. I hope one day soon we will see an upload of "Where True Love Goes", I am so fortunate to have it on a DVD .. takes your breath away.
Silly me , of course Sandra it's Midday. There was a video of Yusuf doing Midday and there was a Mariachi Group playing on it. I can't find that video anymore and I loved it, it was so good.

There is positive good music. That type that has a meaning and a messege for people to do good positive things
And bad music that can encourge negative things such as wrong doing against what Allah wants his people to do . A strong messege can be throough music, art , theater, books , cinema etc.
Stay in the right path and don't deviate .
The possibility that he will be touring again is thrilling. Be prepared to camp
out for tickets and if it comes down to making a car payment or seeing him let the bank have the car.
