I’m italian and I’ve been in Sydney for two years. Lovely experience, i miss Surry Hills café. Sometimes i feel the need to have my bacon egg-roll, with fresh bread, guacamole sauce, crispy bacon and a couple of eggs. Can’t reproduce a good Latte though, but it makes me feel like I’m still there. Thanks Australia for taking such good care of me.
Hey Mark, love all your content. If I was to give a shout out to anyone, it's Angelina and Despina from Cultura Cafe in Bexley North. They opened semi-recently and have obviously put a whole deal of work into making their cafe a hospitable, homely and warm feeling environment. It's great to see their efforts into 'sprucing up' an othersie fairly unasthetic area. The coffee is probably the best I have had in Sydney and the girls are so lovely and nice to everyone who enters. It killed me going in every morning before work not seeing many people in there as I could see how much effort they were putting into creating a great eatery/cafe, and although business picked up recently, I am sure the recent restrictions have impacted them quite negatively. Go in and see them, Mark, you will get along with the girls well - tell them Mack says hi!
I live In Melbourne now, but when I lived in inner Sydney Crown Street Grocer would be one of my fav places you could go drop in between meetings for a coffee and chat with Joe. Always friendly and welcoming. Good to see him evolving during these challenging times. Love the comment bout holding onto good staff, We need to continue to support these types of biz’s. Thanks Mark for sharing.
