Like or dislike this film you gotta admire how they went the extra mile to show us Howard's world. The posters, the "ahem" magazine. The extras. Even if we only saw it for a few minutes it was still all amazing to see.

I intend to bring back that magic together with the rich emotional connections of the first golden age. That's because they used mechanical puppetry for Howard's face, with a voice- over, and those Lords of The Universe monsters were stop motion animated puppets. CGI was still in its infancy, what with TRON being just a few years earlier,, and most effects being painted on the actual film cell by cell.

I never came across this movie as a kid.
