Erin, this video resolved what felt like one of the biggest hurdles for me. Contracts seemed intimidating, and I anticipated having to make a big financial investment in order to get access to a good contract tool as a VA. What a relief! Heading over to check out Indy. Thanks so much!

Thank you Erin for all the tips you leave.
I'm just new to virtual assistance and still undergoing training while watching your videos too and I'm most grateful for them.
Though I do have a challenge of not having a laptop and I do know you've a large community.
For anyone who comes across this comment and might want to help me even if it's an old laptop.
    I would greatly appreciate.
    I'm Clara from Nigeria!
    Thank you!!

Thank you so so much Erin, i just got an offer to VA and because I haven't done this before, I wasn't sure how to go about it. Your videos are a godsend!
I also had a question if thats alright, my client has given me a contract of their own. In the details, it doesn't include who would pay for related projects or if the check used bounces, etc. So, should I ask them to add it in? Or should I ask if they could sign my own contract as well? How should I go about this? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi Erin, may I ask when in the hiring process, one should mention/bringout the contract?
Additionally, how do you do this such that it won't cause any awkwardness between you and your client?
Thanks for all the videos! They're extremely helpful.

Great question! I use the following tactic to keep things moving with clients:
When a client and I connect by phone, I send a follow up email thanking them for their time. If they are someone I want to work with, I also attach my contract and say "once you sign the contract, we can start working together immediately."
That kind of immediacy tends to work best. Also, contracts are normal and expected in freelancing, so there is no need to feel awkward. If anyone asks why you have a contract (which few people will), you can always say "it protects the both of us."

hey erin, do you have any virtual assistant facebook groups or any free communities you'd recommend? ive joined a couple and it seems like theres just a bunch of promo for classes and such in these groups and not a lot of engagement between Virtual Assistants. A few videos back you spoke about the importance of integrating yourself in a Virtual Assistant community.

Great question. I personally really like the Virtual Savvy on Facebook. They tend to be less "salesy" than other groups. Twitter is also a great resource for connecting with other VAs, and you can create twitter lists to keep them all in one easy-to-access place.

    Hello Erin
Thanks for the video on contracts..
I went on Indy but not sure where to find this virtual assistant contract. Is it created based on demand or is it already for downloading and printing?
    Thanks
