There are a number of versions of Jason playing this - his best song - online, and this is surely one of the best. A great song, both lyrically and musically, and one that showcases his superb vocal abilities....

This was playing in CVS (drug store in NYC) today when I was picking up a script. I don't expect to hear Jason on the CVS sound system. Even less do I expect tears falling from my eyes in CVS! I do not have public displays of emotion---EVER!! Jason is becoming a mainstream Major star now. Even if we WANT to keep him as our own!

There are YTubes of a very young Jason (Live at Pepsi Smash) doing this song--he looks about 15 but probably is a bit older. It's amazing that something Jason wrote at such a young age is something he can still sing here and can still sing today. The way he sings it has evolved over time.
Of all the versions I've heard this is, IMO, the best. It's also what he absolutely Opens this Garden Party performance with---right out of the starting block. Jason doesn't sing the Blues---he strives Always for something more upbeat but THAT VOICE. Jason can convey anything with that voice. It can be uplifting and it can pierce your heart like a dagger. He can take you in both directions at once--and he does that precise thing with this performance.
Jason Mraz is quite simply--Extraordinary! He was extraordinary at whatever young age he began to sing. He's extraordinary throughout this performance, 14 years ago when he was 30?; and he is even more extraordinary today in 2021 at 44.

mikachu 2 their probably just jealous that he sounds amazing and they can't sound like him or remotely anywhere near to him his voice is very good I like only 4 songs by him this one is number 1 then the remedy I won't worry 3rd I'm yours and there's one more but can't remember the name that I like but he's a very talented artist better than some I mean people like Justin Bieber and he's a total douche bag.
